Production Planner

A Day in Your Life at MKS
As a Product Planner at MKS, you will partner with various teams across MKS (Manufacturing, Procurement, Network Planning, Engineering, Sales, etc.) and customers to create weekly production plans in order to deliver products on time. In this role, you will report to the Senior Production Control Manager.

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Planning, scheduling, coordinating and/or final approval of products through the complete production cycle.
  • Working from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules and labor and capacity requirements.
  • Coordinating production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules.
  • Managing and controlling shortages and backlog to deliver product on-time.
  • Providing input to management and/or interfaces with marketing, sales, production and engineering managers to reschedule in case of design changes, labor and material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions.
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 10% of Travel is required. Especially in Massachusetts locations.

Skills You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 0-1+ year of related experience in planning, coordinating, and scheduling production operations.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate and present information across varying levels of the organization.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities
  • Knowledge of production processes and quality control
  • A background in labor capacity planning is preferred.
  • CPIM certification preferred.
  • Oracle and/or Agile knowledge preferred.


Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time.
  • Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination
  • Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information
  • Operates in a professional office and manufacturing environment
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards including handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually average

This position is onsite and candidate must live within commutable distance to our location in Methuen MA . Relocation benefits are not available for this position.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary Pay Range: $60,000 - $100,000 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. 

  • Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
