Production Planner

Join a dynamic team in a highly visible supply chain role where your expertise will directly influence business success. As a Production Planner, you’ll be the strategic link between supply and production—forecasting, planning, and collaborating across multiple functions to ensure optimal inventory levels, efficient production schedules, and exceptional customer service. You’ll work closely with wireless carriers, Account Management, Actuary, Supply Chain, and Logistics Operations to develop and execute best-in-class planning strategies that drive efficiency, profitability, and growth.

This is an onsite role in our Irving, TX facility, with a Monday-Thursday schedule.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for demand and production planning processes
• Develop and maintain accurate short-term and long-term production forecasts to support manufacturing and inventory strategies
• Create and release work orders to production teams based on demand signals, capacity constraints, and material availability
• Monitor and adjust production schedules to meet customer requirements while optimizing resource utilization
• Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and operations teams to ensure timely material availability for scheduled work orders
• Proactively communicate risks, capacity constraints, and opportunities to leadership and cross-functional teams
• Develop tools and reporting platforms to standardize production and demand planning processes
• Generate rolling forecasts for demand and production, purchasing plans, and target stocking levels using advanced planning systems
• Establish processes and metrics to continuously improve production planning accuracy and efficiency
• Support implementation of company programs and software solutions for Assurant Wireless

What are the requirements needed for this position?

• BS in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Mathematics, or Computer Science
• 3+ years in production planning, master scheduling, forecasting, procurement, and planning with strong knowledge of planning tools and processes
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret data and identify trends
• Proficiency in production planning and forecast modeling platforms and tools
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

• APICS CPIM and/or CSCP certification or coursework
• Experience with ERP systems and production scheduling modules
• Knowledge of capacity planning and shop floor control processes

Pay Range:

$63,400.00 - $105,800.00

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
