This position is available in one of the following locations: Berkeley, MO, or Huntsville, AL.
The BDS Production Engineering Senior Manager will lead the Tool Engineering (TE) and Numerical Control Programming (NCP) teams based in Berkeley, MO, and Huntsville, AL. The teams provide direct program support to Air Dominance and Mobility, Surveillance, & Bombers production programs based in Berkeley, MO and provide expertise and deliverables to other BDS and BGS programs.
This position also leads the TE and NCP Capabilities for BDS with responsibilities for developing and deploying People, Process, Tool, & Technologies to BDS Division and Program teams. Prioritize and drive the development and delivery of TE and NCP best practices such as Skill Development, and Digital Transformation Implementation.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead a Tool Engineering organization across two BDS sites responsible to develop and execute planned statement of work and unplanned urgent support to Manufacturing.
Manage First Line Leaders responsible for Tool Engineering and Numerical Control Programming (NCP) statement of work.
Lead and manage a large organization with responsibility for employee development, organization RAA, and cost management.
Support BDS IPT teams through implementation of standards and execute on program commitments.
Lead a dynamic team responsible for the TE and NCP capabilities across BDS
Driving TE and NCP best practices such as Foundational TE Skill Development and Digital Transformation Implementation.
Working across BDS divisions and multiple production programs virtually and in-person at BDS sites
Integrating with other business units to advance the TE and NCP functions by sharing lessons learned and best practices, collaborating on Command Media development, and developing a robust and well-represented fellowship of subject matter experts..
Help align and deploy BDS and Enterprise Production Engineering expertise.
Partner with BDS Program PE leaders to facilitate a Help Needed culture, develop and apply solutions to address program needs, provide objective Production Engineering system health checks, and workforce skill surveys/development assessments.
Direct production system support with a passion for forward-facing proactive support to Manufacturing and support teams.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
3 years Management experience
5 years Production Engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Substantial Tool Engineering domain knowledge as a manager and Individual contributor
