Production Coordinator

Playa Del Rey- HQ Full Time

The World Surf League delivers world-class live broadcasts, highlight programming, and original content across our Championship Tour, Challenger Series, Big Wave and Longboard Tours. We’re looking for a highly organised, detail-driven Production Coordinator to support our global broadcast operations. This role works closely with the Chief Content Officer and the VP of Field Operations to ensure smooth planning and delivery of live events and content productions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support all phases of production including pre-production planning, event prep, and onsite delivery.
  • Manage and track work-for-hire agreements, vendor paperwork and onboarding.
  • Maintain and consolidate all production schedules, calendars and timelines 
  • Build, update and quality-check production books, call sheets, daily schedules, catering / craft service plans and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate broadcast crew communications and serve as a point of contact for internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Manage payroll processing; experience with Media Services Payroll is highly regarded.
  • Process and reconcile production credit cards and expense reports.
  • Support freight, shipping, transport logistics, crew travel and itinerary tracking.
  • Assist with creation of presentations, wrap reports and internal documentation.
  • Provide general administrative support as required in a fast-moving live event environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in physical production, ideally supporting live broadcast environments. Experience with live outdoor sports is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of production logistics and operational planning.
  • Competent understanding of financial processes, including budgeting, expense tracking, and reconciliation.
  • High proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides), as well as Microsoft Office or Apple Keynote/Numbers.
  • Exceptionally organised with strong attention to detail; able to prioritise across multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a calm, solutions-focused approach.
  • Customer-service mindset when supporting large onsite teams, partners and vendors.
  • Self-driven, proactive and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally, including extended periods on location and non-traditional work hours during events.
  • This position is based out of our Los Angeles-HQ.

Salary Range: $72,000 - $75,000 based on relevant experience
