About the Role:

Virgin Media’s Daytime TV Shows Ireland:AM is seeking an ambitious production assistant who is passionate learn and grow in a Live TV environment. This is an entry level position with great opportunity to develop within VirginMedia TV. 

Specific Duties & Tasks:                                                                  

• Greeting all TV Show visitors.

• Ensure the smooth running of front of house services/arrivals/departures

• Providing Digital Social support as required to TV Production crew 

• Carrying out TV research where needed.

• Attending and supporting pre-recorded and Live TV Shoots

• Assisting backstage with musical performances and visiting talent 

• Ensuring that all team members have up-to-date scripts.

• Standing in for other junior colleagues in their absence.

• Keeping guest rooms studios and other areas prepared as per live TV requirements.

• General administration work, updating sign in sheets/Replying to emails/social queries

• Generating, pitching and developing show content

• Setting up Virtual Guests via Skype, Zoom, Google

• Liaising with agents, handlers and fielding last minute queries

• Manage last minute changes and communicate efficiently to all stakeholders

• Ensuring Covid compliance for all visitors as necessary 

• Manage stylists, Models and Fashion clothing accessories arrivals

Skills & Expertise:

• Media qualification or equivalent hands-on experience desirable

• Enthusiasm and energy for meeting new people and building relationships

• Strong IT skills and passionate about Live TV, Social Media and digital production

• Be a great ambassador for the VirginMedia Brand and make all guests feel welcome

• Ability to Trouble shoot and communicate any problems with confidence

• Appreciation and knowledge of Virgin Media TV’s Daytime Programming – Ireland:AM

• Show great Initiative and willingness to learn

• An awareness of food hygiene and health and safety issues is advantageous
