Product Risk and Strategy - Vice President

About the Role

iCapital is seeking a Vice President to join the Advisor Platform Product team. This role will own product risk end-to-end and shape strategic decisions that drive platform resilience and growth. This individual will solve complex problems and ensure risk insights translate into practical decisions that improve the product. The ideal candidate will lead incident management, build governance frameworks, and partner with Product leadership to reduce recurrence and improve platform reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full incident lifecycle which includes, intake, triage, root cause analysis, and resolution.
  • Learn the platform deeply and work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to diagnose and resolve issues.
  • Transform recurring issues into systemic solutions and integrate them into strategic roadmap priorities.
  • Introduce risk-adjusted thinking into product planning and new launches.
  • Build controls and governance to standardize playbooks and align with enterprise frameworks.
  • Deliver sharp updates and recommendations to leadership.
  • Leverage risk insights visibly influencing product decisions and roadmap priorities.
  • Work cross-functionally across Product, Tech, Operations, and Risk teams.

Qualifications

  • 8 - 10+ years in product management, risk management, or operations in complex environments
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle risks and operational controls
  • Fintech or financial services experience, familiarity with SDLC and enterprise risk frameworks
  • Proven ability to proactively drive decisions and accountability
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data and dashboards to identify patterns and inform decisions
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive-ready summaries and present in governance forums
  • Familiarity with SQL is preferred
  • Experience with workflow and tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Monday.com) and dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau) is preferred

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $180,000.  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus. We believe the best ideas and innovation happen when we are together. Employees in this role will work in the office Monday-Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Friday.
