The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking a Product Review Engineer to join our C-17 Flight Test Program team in Edwards AFB, California.
BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced level Product Review Engineers.
Position Responsibilities Include:
Provide on-site Field Engineering support to the United States Air Force at Edwards Air Force Base, CA as an integral part of a multi-discipline team in conjunction with the C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program (GISP) contract
Use broad knowledge of Boeing C-17 design and engineering principles
Facilitate the assessment and resolution of issues through the product lifecycle
Apply engineering principles and experience to research technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer
Coordinate the development and release of interim and permanent engineering dispositions to ensure aircraft airworthiness and overall operational safety and effectiveness
Use innovative approaches and unique applications to solve complex nonconforming conditions
Identify, document, and analyze reported problems and communicate deviations that could impact design intent and safety
Provide design phase subject matter expertise by supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participating in design reviews
Lead activities for on-site disabled aircraft repair/recovery teams, safety or accident investigation boards, and aircraft maintenance recovery teams
Conduct static strength analysis with development of repairs
Develop customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment
Develop and implement technical training curriculum for internal and external customers
Develop and implement product/process improvements
Ability to work unsupervised for extended periods of time in a wide variety of cultural/economic environments
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Experience applying engineering principles to research technical, operational and quality issues
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 3: 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months
Previous Material Review Board (MRB), product review, or delegated engineering authority (DEA) on C-17 program
Ability to use NX/Unigraphics or CATIA for development of structural repairs
Experience & aptitude with aircraft metal and composite structural design, analysis and repair design skills

Summary pay range Associate Level: $90,950 - $123,050
Summary pay range Experienced: $111,350 - $150,650
