We are looking for an Engineer to work as a PRC Safety Engineer as part of the Airbus Defence
and Space Romania team. The role mission is to work together with Projects/ products and other
PRC Stakeholders, in order to achieve compliance of the products delivered by our company.

What is a PRC Safety Engineer?

Put simply, after a minimum period of on-the-job training, you’ll be the person that will make the link
between Project/ Product and Various Specialists, in order to create the technical documentation
and other deliverables that guide and ultimately prove safety and other types of regulatory
compliance, in the larger context of CE Marking.

PRC Safety Engineer experience and skills:

You should be an engineer, with minimum three year of experience in an area where you have used
your technical/ engineer skills. You should be able to study best practices and standards and
implement their requirements in specific product environment, in an easy-to-understand manner.
You will also need the ability to communicate effectively with people in product teams, in order for
them to focus on compliance so that they will provide you with the necessary input for the creation of
the Technical File. If you have a strong mindset towards safety and compliance and you are able to
easily assess technical risks, understand and explain technical compliance solutions, we would like
to meet you and to provide you a good corporate job. We will provide training; we expect you to be a
proactive and self-disciplined person. We are looking for engineers with minimum one year of
experience, this is not an entry-level position.

Responsibilities:

• Works as PRC (Product Regulatory Compliance) Engineer in the Operational PRC team in Bucharest; Presents basic knowledge on Product safety and Product Liability, good knowledge on CE marking, good knowledge on SW/HW/Integrated Product Compliance

• Possesses good knowledge of Airbus DS PRC and Product Safety Processes, Procedures and Templates, strong knowledge of Airbus Defence and Space (AD) organization and its products

• Supports with technical knowledge and activities, both HO TCDGSR and PRC Engineer Technical Lead when needed and requested, in a Project specific context; also, in the TCDGSR Bucharest specific context, has the ability to make independent decisions in solving technical problems

• Exhibits good knowledge (ideally with an official certification - internal or external) in minimum one of the PRC Engineering domains, basic knowledge in all the rest: Safety of the Software, Safety of the HW, License Compliance, Product Environmental Compliance, Data protection Privacy by Design, Export Control, Compliance in Artificial Intelligence

• Generates engineering artefacts required for Operational PRC according to Airbus Defence and Space (AD) specific internal Management process, aligns necessary Engineering activities to achieve a safe product together with the PRC Manager, and/or applicable PRC Coordinator/ PRC Officer; Good experience with PRC records and other templates created in any Program Lines inside AD.

• Provides Operational PRC activities for AD projects and products: creates and organizes all contents of the PRC Record (also called Technical File) including HW (Hardware) and SW (Software) Hazard Analysis, recommends specific safety design solutions and descriptions, from Bid to closure of Project;Liaise with Compliance technical Specialists and ensures a proper communication between Project/ Product team and Specialists with regard to PRC related deliverables;

• Supports evolution of PRC across AD, by providing operational feedback to PRC Governance organization, gives strategical feedback to team management;

• Keeps up to date with latest templates, procedures and best practices, respects AD specific internal PRC process and rules as well as Operational PRC team internal procedures

• Guides/ coaches team members in technical matters

• Based on business needs, travel within and outside the country.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering area

• Familiarity with safety and compliance related standards and best practices, including EU Directives on CE marking

• English language minimum business level

• Minimum knowledge about quality frameworks and management systems

• Computer literate medium to advanced level

• Systems Engineering knowledge is a plus

• Previous experience in product qualification and CE marking of different products is a plus

Competencies:

• Minimum certification as an engineer, and minimum practical experience, in a technical/administrative/ Procurement or QA/QC position

• Good organizational skills, problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability

• Good written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
