This posting is covering 3 exciting Product Owner opportunities
Unum US Opportunities (2) – Drive product portfolio initiatives, including refreshing flagship LTD and STD offerings, enhancing Dental/Vision products, and supporting late-stage approvals for our supplemental health portfolio. Familiarity with Unum systems and processes within the customer pipeline is a plus.
Colonial Life Products (1) – Driving innovation through product enhancements and guiding new ideas from ideation to successful delivery. Manage the breadth of CLA operations stakeholders to deliver meaningful features to elevate UW/Claims/Billing etc. and enable availability of products in additional markets. Familiarity with CLA Harmony ecosystem and CLA operations a plus!
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Proven success in delivering technical projects and leading teams.
Product Owner certification (PSPO or CSPO) preferred.
Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and product lifecycle.
Technical acumen to collaborate with architects, designers, and DevOps teams.
Experience with digital technology roadmaps and technical requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Creative problem solver with negotiation and persuasion skills.
High ownership, accountability, and ability to navigate ambiguity.
Change champion with coaching and mentoring capabilities.
Some travel may be required.
Drive product roadmap execution and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Define and track KPIs for product adoption and delivery.
Maintain deep understanding of client needs; translate insights into prioritized backlog items.
Build and manage a clear, prioritized product backlog including technical work for long-term integrity.
Create and own backlog items with acceptance criteria (Features, User Stories).
Engage in Agile ceremonies, customer journey mapping, and program execution frameworks.
Gather client feedback through focus groups, surveys, usability sessions, and prototyping.
Monitor industry trends and maintain internal business expertise.
Ensure operational readiness for new capabilities and support digital adoption strategies.
Track benefit realization and incorporate feedback into future enhancements.
Use backlog tools to report metrics, progress, and adjust timelines as needed.

The base salary range for applicants for this position is listed below. Unless actual salary is indicated above in the job description, actual pay will be based on skill, geographical location and experience.
$89,400.00-$183,500.00Additionally, Unum offers a portfolio of benefits and rewards that are competitive and comprehensive including healthcare benefits (health, vision, dental), insurance benefits (short & long-term disability), performance-based incentive plans, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match up to 5% and an additional 4.5% contribution whether you contribute to the plan or not. All benefits are subject to the terms and conditions of individual Plans.
