Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Product Group Owner, Servicing (i.e., Senior Product Manager), the Product Owner (PO) will provide thought leadership and oversight of the Direct Investing digital client experience (both online and mobile). The PO will drive key results by delivering digital client experience that boldly differentiates TD Direct Investing in the DIY online investing space.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Own the end-to-end strategic execution for product initiatives to enhance client digital experience, with a focus on Money Movement and Account Management
Partner with key stakeholders in the process of strategic execution, including Human-centered Design, Business Architecture, Technology & Delivery Pods, Change Management, Legal and Compliance, and many other partners in various parts of our organization, ensure alignment and continued progress
Leverage financial data to drive insights and develop strategic recommendations, effectively frame complex issues, leverage strong business acumen to articulate case for change
Clearly articulate and document high-level business requirements of key strategic initiatives
Engage with delivery pods and Human-centered designers to co-create prototypes and validate concepts
Manage, track and review initiative progress in JIRA, identify and report early signs of delivery risks, escalate to senior management as appropriate
Keep current on emerging product trends, innovations, new technologies and changing investor expectations shaping the self-directed investing landscape
Support the evolution of the Product Group delivery roadmap and maintain a product backlog in alignment with DI's overarching strategy, and continuously evaluate the initiatives that will provide the most client value
Participate in scrum or Kanban events (e.g. stand-ups, retrospectives), ensure alignment and drive delivery efficiency
Foster a supportive workplace culture that encourages teamwork, equality, and diversity.
Skills & Experience
Undergraduate degree in business, technology, or related field
7+ years in wealth/banking of which 3+ years were focused on work with digital platforms/technology teams as a Product Manager/Owner or other Agile related delivery role
Proven ability to manage, oversee and lead initiatives/projects with large and complex scope
Experience in strategy development, agile and/or product ownership
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills – able to confidently communicate with senior executives and leaders within the business
Analytical mindset, strong numeracy and data analytical skills
Strong relationship management skills with the ability to craft win-win solutions for our business and our partners
Hands-on/ team-player attitude toward tackling tactical as well as strategic work
Comfortable in working with ambiguity and working in a dynamic and fast-moving environment
Strong proficiency with MS Office suite and JIRA, Confluence, with advanced skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel
Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification, other project management certifications are an asset.
Experience working in the Self-Directed Investing space is an asset
