We empower our selling partners - financial professionals at broker-dealers, banks and agencies - with valuable insights, engaging tools and business-building resources for bringing our annuity solutions to their clients and helping them realize their retirement goals.

About The Role

As a ​Product Owner​ you will report to the Senior Product Owner and be responsible for leading assigned initiatives focused on our life insurance and annuity sales, new business and servicing processes. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills to manage projects, engage with diverse stakeholders, and ensure seamless project execution within tight timelines. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and a proven ability to structure, define, and implement initiatives. The Product Owner will have the opportunity to work with leaders across the organization to deliver value that will shape the future of the Life and Individual Retirement (IR) businesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Execution of Projects within an Enterprise-Level Digital Program

    • Work with a Senior Product Owner to lead the delivery of Life or IR evergreen initiatives within the Life/IR Digital Program.

    • Ensure alignment of evergreen initiatives against Life/IR transformation initiatives in partnership with the Senior Product Owner and against the Accenture portfolio in partnership with our Accenture partners. 

  • Customer Experience Design

    • Collaborate with user-experience designers, and IT and business partners to identify functionality that will differentiate us and make it easier for agents to do business with us and our clients to act in their financial lives.

  • Planning & Product Road Mapping

    • Build product roadmaps with our business and IT partners that will deliver value to our clients through integrated and scalable solutions.

    • Bridge the gap between business outcomes and technical delivery by having good business sense and willingness to learn about the areas supported.

  • Adoption & Value Realization

    • Responsible for the end-to-end rollout of your projects to realize full value of the solutions, including coordinating rollout, marketing, communication, training, and adoption plans, and following change management best practices.

    • Define, measure, and track benefits identified through the lifecycle of the initiatives (KPIs) with business partners.

    • Actively manage rollout metrics against defined KPIs to address issues during rollout and ensure value delivery.

  • Reporting & Risk Management

    • Responsible for managing and reporting full project costs and value realization in collaboration with business and IT teams.

    • Responsible for working with the Transformation Management Office (TMO) to respond to project-related requests.

    • Identify potential risks and implement proactive measures to mitigate challenges, ensuring Program success under tight timelines. 

  • Leadership

    • Indirectly manage the project team assigned to your projects, ensuring alignment and timely delivery of project objectives.

    • Ensure effective communication flow across and within teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Industry Knowledge:

    • Understanding of the Life Insurance, Individual Retirement and/or Group Retirement Industry; the distribution framework, financial advisors and their client's needs and behaviors using data analysis, direct communication, and support resources. 

    • Knowledge of the sales and new business lifecycle and inforce servicing process.

  • Program Management & Digital Transformation Experience:  

    • 5+ years of experience managing projects in a structured and organized manner, with the ability to create actionable implementation plans and timelines.

    • Knows how to manage teams and stakeholders to deliver on time.  

    • Experience with change management framework & practices. 

  • Working Knowledge of:

    • Product Management disciplines, including backlog management and business prioritization.

    • Root cause problem solving experience. 

  • Communication Excellence:

    • Ability to understand and communicate technical requirements and design across, engineering, design and QA.

    • Ability to communicate with all levels of stakeholders in a structured and crisp manner.

    • A good listener and changes perspectives based on facts

    • Effectively engage and align cross-functional leaders to drive consensus on prioritization and to enable adoption of change.

  • Execution mindset and a demonstrated ability to drive results:

    • Structured, organized, and can create actionable implementation plans and timelines.

    • Knows how manage teams and stakeholders to deliver.

    • Can identify potential issues early in driving the adoption of change and acts proactively to address them.

    • Hands-on experience with Agile.

  • Customer-first mindset:

    • A customer-centric focus to keep customers at the forefront of decisions and connecting plans and actions to the purpose of serving clients.

    • Understands our customer needs, services and solutions/ products will fill these needs, and how we create value.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Worked in a product owner, project or program management capacity in the past.

  • Hands-on experience with executing assigned projects within identified timelines

  • Ownership mindset and demonstrated ability to drive results

  • Clear understanding of digital technology and consumer trends

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills that can explain technical concepts for non-technical audiences

  • Bachelor’s degree (Technology or Business)

  • Experience with change management and adoption frameworks

  • Experience building internal relationships and working across matrixed organizations

Compensation:

The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications.

Work Location:

This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Houston, TX office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
