We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to join the Backplane Team, focused on driving cross-product integration initiatives across platforms such as Ascendon, Xponent, and Quote & Order. This role will be responsible for owning the product backlog, defining and prioritizing requirements, and ensuring seamless integration across systems including Web Portals, APIs, and Automated Processes, with a strong focus on Single Sign-On (SSO), User Experience (UX), and AI-driven functionality. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, architects, program managers, and leadership teams to align product delivery with strategic goals, release milestones, and customer value. This position requires strong Agile delivery experience, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to manage dependencies across multiple teams while ensuring timely and high-quality execution.


We are looking for a Product Owner who will:

  • Own and manage the product backlog, including defining, refining, and prioritizing epics, features, and user stories based on business value and strategic priorities.

  • Drive cross-product integration initiatives across Ascendon, Xponent, and Quote & Order platforms.

  • Lead integration efforts focused on SSO, UX enhancements, AI functionality, Web Portals, APIs, and Automated Processes.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into clear user stories with acceptance criteria.

  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and support daily stand-ups to ensure smooth Agile execution.

  • Track progress, identify blockers, and help remove impediments impacting delivery timelines.

  • Partner with Program Managers to align roadmap priorities with project milestones, releases, and dependencies.

  • Coordinate with other Product Owners and cross-functional teams to manage feature intake, prioritization, and cross-team dependencies.

  • Ensure readiness of stories by validating test data, UI designs, and business requirements before sprint execution.

  • Participate in story demos and provide final acceptance to ensure solutions meet intended business needs.

  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, executive sponsors, and steering committees on roadmap progress, risks, and delivered outcomes.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery velocity, quality, and team effectiveness.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Overall experience of 4 to 6 years in the IT industry.

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of IT experience as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, or equivalent Agile delivery experience.

  • Strong experience working in Agile / Scrum environments managing product backlogs and sprint deliverables.

  • Proven experience delivering software development or integration projects successfully.

  • Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders and coordinating with distributed or remote teams.

  • Strong understanding of SSO, UX principles, APIs, Web Portals, Automated Processes, and system integrations.

  • Ability to create functional requirements, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.

  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar Agile tools.

  • Preferred experience with B2C and B2B applications.

  • CSPO, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, or Agile certifications preferred.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
