Location: Dallas, TX - 2 days a week onsite

Job Summary

    The Product Owner will serve as the voice of the customer, managing the product backlog and ensuring the development team delivers maximum value with each sprint. They will work closely with stakeholders and development team to translate business objectives into actionable user stories while maintaining a clear product vision.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Manage and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, stakeholder needs, and technical dependencies
    • Collaborate with Product Management to align backlog priorities with the product roadmap and strategic objectives
    • Develop clear, detailed user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria using frameworks like INVEST
    • Define sprint goals and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for the development team regarding requirements clarification and priority decisions
    • Engage with stakeholders and end-users to gather feedback and validate solutions
    • Facilitate backlog refinement sessions to ensure stories are ready for upcoming sprints
    • Provide Product Owner sign-off on completed work and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders for all releases containing user-impacting capabilities
    • Prepare release communications including detailed release notes and conduct release demos to showcase upcoming features and functionality

    Key Skills

    • Agile/Scrum Expertise: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum framework, and Product Owner responsibilities
    • User Story Development: Ability to write clear, testable user stories with acceptance criteria using INVEST principles
    • Backlog Management: Proficiency in prioritizing and managing product backlogs using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
    • Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and end-users
    • Critical Thinking: Creative and critical thinking skills to address complex challenges and remove impediments
    • Prompt Engineering & AI Tool Proficiency: Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) to enhance productivity in requirements documentation, user story creation, and stakeholder communications, release notes etc.
    • Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to use metrics, analytics, and user feedback to inform prioritization and measure success

    Qualifications

      Education & Years of Experience

      • Bachelor's Degree plus 2-5 years of work experience OR High School Diploma/GED plus 6-9 years of work experience

      Certifications

      • Certified Product Owner (Preferred)

      Additional Experience

      • Experience with API integrations and third-party platform connectivity
      • Experience in healthcare domain (Preferred)
      • Experience in successfully launching user-facing features and capabilities

      Work Environment / Physical Requirements

      • Work is performed in an office/home office environment.
      • Team Members must have the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

        Pay Rate

        $90,000 - $107,000 Salary

        Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
