Applied Materials’ Semiconductor Products Group (SPG) Strategy & Marketing team is searching for a technical Product Marketer with a deep interest in semiconductor manufacturing technologies and a rare ability to bridge rigorous technical content with compelling creative storytelling.

This role sits at the intersection of process engineering, product strategy, and narrative-driven marketing, translating complex semiconductor process technologies into clear, differentiated, and visually engaging stories for both technical and executive audiences.

You will help define how our solutions for logic, memory, and advanced packaging are understood by customers, partners, and the broader industry—connecting device physics, materials science, and process flows to real-world value and impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop technically accurate and compelling marketing content for semiconductor process technologies, including:

    • Logic and memory manufacturing (e.g., FEOL, MOL, BEOL)

    • Advanced transistor architectures (e.g., FinFET, GAA, etc.)

    • Materials engineering, deposition, etch, CMP, implant, thermal processes, treatments, etc

    • Advanced packaging and integration (e.g., hybrid bonding, wafer-level packaging, 2.5D/3D)

  • Translate complex process flows, integration schemes, and manufacturing challenges into clear narratives, visuals, and stories

  • Craft end-to-end product narratives that connect process technology → customer challenge → differentiated value

  • Collaborate closely with process engineers, technologists, product managers, and sales teams to ensure technical depth and credibility

  • Create high-impact deliverables such as:

    • Technical presentations and diagrams

    • Product and platform narratives

    • Animations, explainer videos, and visualizations

    • Customer-facing and conference content

  • Use graphics, animations, and physical or digital models to visualize abstract semiconductor concepts (e.g., cross-sections, process steps, integration complexity)

  • Independently explore new semiconductor topics, emerging nodes, and integration trends to continuously elevate technical storytelling

  • Apply creativity to differentiate complex process technologies in a competitive, fast-moving industry

  • Collaborate and engage with technologists to ensure active participation at technical industry conferences and events

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a Master’s degree in Engineering and/or MBA is a plus

  • 4 - 7 years of experience

  • Background or experience in semiconductor process engineering, device engineering, materials science, or related disciplines

  • Strong ability to operate fluently between semiconductor engineering concepts and creative communication

  • Solid understanding of semiconductor manufacturing fundamentals (logic, memory, and packaging)

  • Familiarity with semiconductor industry trends such as scaling challenges, yield, cost, performance, power, and integration complexity

  • Experience developing technically accurate content for engineering- or technology-driven audiences

  • Proven storytelling ability—turning complex process technologies into clear, structured narratives

  • High degree of independence, ownership, and comfort working with incomplete or evolving technical inputs

  • Demonstrated curiosity and aptitude for learning new process technologies and creative tools

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, tailored for technical, executive, and customer audiences

  • Experience with visualization tools used to communicate semiconductor concepts, including:

    • Graphic design and technical illustration

    • Animation and motion graphics

    • CAD, 3D modeling, or cross-sectional visualization

    • Prototyping or 3D printing for storytelling or demonstration use cases

  • Hands-on working experience with:
