Zoetis Zaventem is currently looking for a Product Manager.

The Product Manager executes marketing tactics for the core brands of their portfolio and implements offline and digital marketing campaigns, information and activities that promote this portfolio towards customers and consumers and analyses the results for continuous improvement of the tactics.
They have financial responsibility for their allocated Marketing budget.

The Product Manager provides market analysis, competitor knowledge and supports the Business Unit, customers, external stakeholders.

They deliver value to our customers and consumers, giving Zoetis a major differentiator and creating significant competitive advantage.

Core Responsibilities

Strategy and Planning

  • Develops annual omnichannel marketing execution plans for core products
  • Builds tactical plan alongside the Business Unit Director
  • Executes plans that support customer and consumer engagement both online and offline
  • Monitors results and adapts when needed 
  • Accelerates the digital implementation for communication toward customers and consumers building a strong community and direct communication to make them supporters and advocates of Zoetis and our brands
  • Creates effective cross functional relationships with the field force team to ensure continuous alignment of marketing programmes to commercial activities and account plans
  • Maintains expertise with the evolving portfolio of products, services, pricing, competition, market and industry trends
  • Gathers data and feedback from a range of sources – market data, customer visits, field force feedback, market research, publications, conferences and industry contacts.  Analyse and interpret; using results of analysis to inform commercial decision making

Marketing Campaigns & Demand Creation

  • Develops and delivers omnichannel marketing campaigns that achieve appropriate impact, product positioning, market growth and profitability, with consideration for both the short and long term and the evolution of the consumers expectations
  • Participates in project management to create Account Based Marketing materials in a customer centric approach.
  • Drives collaboration with sales teams to ensure all promotional materials, events, social media campaigns and PR support the marketing priorities and objectives for each product and campaign
  • Delivers campaigns that allow marketing messages and product information to be easily translatable into the context of the Solution Selling model
  • Works with commercial and technical team leadership to agree training priorities and development plans for field force teams that support marketing activities
  • Conducts regular customer visits to gain customer insights. Use this knowledge to make the difference vs competition and aligned with customers and consumers needs
  • Ensures all materials, training and other methods of support are made available for distributors in the Benelux while respecting the agreed deadlines
  • Analyses the results of all their campaigns to ensure optimal ROI and adapts plans when needed

Relationships

  • Develops partnerships with product stakeholders with a common goal of maximising commerciality of products and services
  • Engages with the internal global marketing teams to share best practise activities and marketing campaigns through the vault system
  • Uses links with external networks and key influencers to bring innovation to our business
  • Creates networks of resources within the team around each product and marketing campaign, utilising all resources available
  • Draws on the broad knowledge of colleagues and network to find business growth opportunities
  • Seeks customer centric input from the commercial colleagues into marketing plans and programmes
  • Contributes to the success of the business by sharing best practice with colleagues, proactively contributing ideas, and supporting others to do the same across the business

Financial Management & Compliance

  • Manages allocated Direct Marketing Expenditure (DME) budget with tight control to avoid over/underspends in compliance with the Expenses Policy
  • Responsible for Scientific approval and compliance.
  • Maintains high standards of business conduct and compliance, adhering particularly to Pharmacovigilance Policy, Global vet Policy, Zoetis values, travel & expenses policy and local codes of practise
  • Ensures the recording of accurate financial records and communicate effectively, sharing information with other stakeholders

Training & Qualifications

  • At least bachelor’s degree in animal health, preferably a veterinarian degree.
  • IT literate. Able to use standard business software and communication tools
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a real asset

Experience

  • Experience in the animal health field, specifically in the LVS field
  • Experience in a marketing/business development role (min 2 years)
  • Experience or interest in science

Travel Requirement

Regular travel within the Benelux region
