Job Summary
Responsible for business product management in the development of new products and services, refining existing products and services, and providing support to the field and home office partners as SME for assigned product and service lines. Collaborates with and influences stakeholders, vendors, and senior leaders to ensure strategic alignment. Will be a key resource for all product projects and may need to perform as project manager in development and implementation of small to moderate scope product projects. Responsible for market analysis and understanding The Standard's position in the market for assigned product and service lines.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Conducts market analysis to inform product strategy, build business cases, and maintain deep knowledge of customers, competitors, and industry trends.
  • Supports sales and marketing through product training, content expertise, campaign development, and representing the organization at industry events.
  • Manages and enhances assigned products by identifying improvements, overseeing maintenance activities, and serving as a subject matter expert across internal and external partners.
  • Leads and collaborates on cross‑functional projects to align product objectives, ensure information flow, and assess organizational impacts on people, technology, and workflow.
  • May serve as project manager for product and service development initiatives of small to moderate scope.
Skills and Background You’ll Need
  • Education:  Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing or related field required; industry designation (i.e. CLU, RHU, CEBS) preferred. 
  • Experience: 5+ years of group insurance experience, product management experience, or underwriting related experience. 
  • Working knowledge of voluntary/worksite products (i.e. critical illness, accident/hospital indemnity, life, and disability).

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.

The actual compensation for this role will be based on a combination of education and experience, knowledge and skills, position budget, internal equity, and market data.

Salary Range:

$88,000.00 - $129,000.00
