The pay range is $88,000.00 - $158,000.00

The Owned Brand Product Management Team with-in Strategy and Operations supports Owned Brands by advancing capabilities required by Target to Create, Source, and Make our Owned Brand private label products We partner with Owned Brand teams globally across product design, product operations, and brand management to evolve these critical capabilities.  We deliver and maintain connected tools, ​data analytics, automation, and modern platforms ​to eliminate inefficiencies, enhance decision making, ​and unlock durable Owned Brand growth.

Product teams have one shared backlog that is inclusive of all product, technology and design work.  

 

As a Product Manager with-in our Reporting & Analytics team for Owned Brands, you will enable confident, data-driven decisions that unlock business value.   

  • You will lead the development of scalable, intuitive, and high impact analytics and insights products that support Owned Brand team decision making and performance management across the Creation, Sourcing and Making of Owned Brand products.  

  • You will partner closely with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into clear product requirements while collaborating with analytics, engineering, data science and other cross functional teams to deliver solutions.  

  • You will proactively seek feedback from Owned Brand partners and leaders as a key input to backlog prioritization and roadmap decisions.  

  • You will leverage current products to strengthen existing capabilities while enabling new capabilities through prototypes and MVPs that test and validate emerging ideas and technologies.   

  • You will bring an unrelenting focus on intuitive, self-serve analytic and insight products that are easy to use andmaintain 

  • This role will partner closely with the Owned Brand Responsible Sourcing & Sustainablility team to expand and build capabilities that drive responsible and sustainable decision making through-out the Create, Source and Make processes for Owned Brand products.

 

As a Product Manager, you will work in the product model and will collaborate with your product team and key stakeholders to develop a plan and business objectives (OKRs) for your respective product. You will need to build a strong knowledge of your product through product discovery to collect customer feedback and work to collect other relevant data points that explain the value and help you prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product. You will work in unison with analytics, engineers, UX designers, data scientists, and business partners to deliver a product. 

 

You will be the “voice of the product” with your product team and stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met, and you will be responsible to maintain and refine the product backlog (create user stories & acceptance criteria) while prioritizing the backlog to focus on the highest impact work for your team and stakeholders.  

 

You will encourage the open exchange of information and viewpoints, as well as inspire others to achieve challenging goals and high standards of performance while committing to the organization's direction. You will foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles.

About you:  

  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience

  • 4+ years of Product Management experience

  • Experience defining, delivering and owning reposting or data and analytics products end to end (requirements, build, adoption, iteration)

  • Experience building dashboards and reporting in tools such as Domo, Tableau, Power BI, Looker & other Visualization tools

  • Experience working in an agile environment with engineering and data teams (e.g. user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas)

  • Ability to synthesize data into actionable insights and recommendations

  • Demonstrated ability to lead bodies of work and influence cross-functional stakeholders without authority

  • Experience facilitating requirements workshops or discovery sessions

  • Experience working with global teams/business partners

  • Strong communication, active listening and critical thinking skills that enable optimized solutions, including new ways to solve data insights challenges

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
