We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Product Manager I to drive the evolution of KSL.com, one of Utah’s most trusted digital platforms. In this role, you will translate product vision into actionable development plans and collaborate with engineering, design, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative features that keep KSL.com at the forefront of technology. This position combines product strategy, technical partnership, and data-driven decision-making to ensure our platform meets user needs and business objectives.

This position is a hybrid role that requires the employee to sometimes work at our Salt Lake City and Lehi sites. Specific hybrid schedules will be determined based on business needs and evaluated by managers and senior management.
What you'll do:
Execute the Strategic Vision: Partner closely with Senior Director of Business to internalize the product vision and translate high-level goals into a tactical, actionable Shape Up build cycle plans.
Evidence-Based Framing & Shaping: Conduct deep-dive research into UX and the competitive landscape to serve as a knowledgeable resource and support data-driven decisions during the framing and shaping phases.
Developing Pitches: Participate in OPS (Opportunities, Problems, Solutions) meetings to synthesize stakeholder feedback and your research into concise "Pitches." You will define the problem, establish a recommended Appetite, and identify "No-Go" areas, ensuring the Investment Table has the necessary clarity to make decisions.
Problem Shaping: Assist in shaping work by defining the boundaries of a project, identifying potential "rabbit holes," and working with engineers to outline a solution that fits within a specific appetite (e.g., a 2-week or 6-week build).
Technical Translation: Transform complex ideas into simple, intuitive workflows and write user stories that provide engineers with the clarity needed to build seamless experiences.
Engineering Partnership: Attend daily Stand Up meetings with the software engineering team to execute build plans, ensuring technical tasks remain within the "shaped" scope and align with the product’s functional requirements.
Leading Build Check-ins: Facilitate bi-weekly progress sessions with stakeholders to showcase current build momentum. You will use these meetings to visualize the team’s progress, demo completed work, and maintain organizational alignment on the current cycle's goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Design, Sales, Marketing, CX, and Operations to identify and solve product friction points. You will work alongside these teams to co-create solutions that improve the product experience.
Product Evangelism: Build confidence across the organization by keeping stakeholders informed and excited about the product’s progress, priorities, and vision.
Performance Monitoring: Analyze product analytics after a cycle to determine if the "investment" paid off and where improvements are needed for future shaping sessions.
Operational Excellence: Focus on "working smart" by optimizing personal and team workflows to ensure every hour of engineering effort counts toward the final product.
What you should have:
A passion for people. Product managers interact with everyone and therefore need solid communication and conflict resolution skills
2+ years of relevant experience
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Ability to clearly communicate vision, objectives and test criteria through written user stories
The desire and propensity to do the right thing by customers, co-workers…humans in general
A love for data and leveraging it in decision making
An affinity for testing, analyzing, tinkering – trying things and then starting over and trying something else
Compensation
$85,000–$95,000 annually. Salary rate to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data.
