The Deicing Product Manager leads through influence by creating a hub of communication across functions, aligning stakeholders, and delivering results against our One AeroTech, One Strategy plan. This role is highly diverse and requires an agile contributor to execute against the AeroTech strategy by maximizing the success of new product and project initiatives.
- This role will have direct ownership of AeroTech’s de-icing product line, a critical and highly complex segment of airport ground support equipment
- Drive the continued evolution of this long-standing product portfolio with a focus on modernization, automation, and user experience
- Integrate customer insights, competitive intelligence, and market data to advance capabilities in connectivity, efficiency, and data-driven performance
- Support next-generation development initiatives, including new platforms and technology enhancements within the de-icing space
- Contribute directly to AeroTech’s moonshot of intelligent, automated, and electric solutions that transform airport operations

YOUR IMPACT

- Own the product roadmap for the de-icing portfolio and ensure alignment with AeroTech’s strategic initiatives and Multi-Generation Product Plans (MGPP)
- Lead active development initiatives, including:
- New de-icer platform for the narrow-body aircraft segment
- Turret design improvements
- PLC system enhancements
- Over-the-air update capabilities
- Act as the voice of the customer, translating airline and ground handler needs into clear, actionable product requirements
- Serve as AeroTech’s internal and external product expert for de-icing solutions
- Drive improvements in propylene glycol (prop mix) measurement, reporting accuracy, and overall operational efficiency
- Identify and advance automation opportunities to reduce operator dependency and improve precision and cost control
- Leverage product data and usage insights to enhance customer value, including billing accuracy and operational optimization
- Ensure product launches through gate review deliverables, go-to-market planning, and cross-functional execution
- Lead cross-functional coordination for product safety and quality issues, ensuring containment and resolution with Engineering, Service, and Quality teams
- Ensure compliance with national and international standards, safety requirements, and quality objectives
- Support Sales and Marketing through customer visits, technical presentations, and trade event participation
- Provide guidance on pricing and positioning based on competitive dynamics and customer value within the de-icing market
- Monitor product performance including margin, market share, and competitiveness, and recommend actions to drive growth
- Champion innovation in electrification, connectivity, automation, and data-driven capabilities
- Partner closely with Engineering to ensure strong collaboration while maintaining product ownership and strategic direction
- Collaborate across product lines to ensure consistency in AeroTech’s value proposition and customer experience
- Engage with suppliers, industry groups, and partners to identify new technologies and opportunities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field
- Eight (8) years of product or portfolio management in machinery, heavy equipment, or manufacturing industries experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience with successful product launches and lifecycle management
- Strong analytical, financial, and communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 30% based on business needs
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
- Direct experience in the de-icing industry, including:
- Managing de-icing fleets
- Designing de-icing equipment
- Selling or supporting de-icing products
- Experience working with or for companies such as:
- Vestergaard
- Mallaghan
- Textron (Safeaero or Premier)
- Other ground support equipment manufacturers
- Strong understanding of airline or ground handling operations and cost drivers, including fluid usage and efficiency
- Experience with complex equipment involving hydraulics, controls, PLC systems, or HMI interfaces
- Proven ability to drive improvements in automation, data capture, and operational efficiency
- Experience working with safety-critical or highly regulated equipment

Pay Range:
$103,300.00 - $177,700.00
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
