Major Duties:

  • You will provide advice and guidance on a wide range and variety of complex DoD/DoN IT policies, interpreting IT policies, and standards and guidelines
  • You will develop policies and processes needed for capturing meta data and other requirements to support a more effective search engine.
  • You will collaborate with stakeholders to obtain concurrence for proposed changes to policies and processes necessary to achieve a more effective information management program across the enterprise.
  • You will serve as the government IT oversight for SSP insider threat mitigation program and implementation strategy.
  • You will be responsible for the management of SSP Removable Media Representative (RMR) and Data Transfer Agent (DTA) training, activities, compliance, and policy.
  • You will develop and manages SSP Cloud Service Program governance including policy and process for evaluation, migration, deployment, and operation.
  • You will assess branch/field activity/industry partner’s requests for Cloud hosting/application migration to the Cloud and provide recommendations to the SPCIO.
  • You will perform technical assessments on requests to use non-SSP hosted IT systems/platforms for processing, storing, transferring SSP data.
  • You will identify and resolve IT workforce issues, business processes, engineering concepts, and to lead/conduct studies designed to identify potential improvements in the way information technology is applied to key business functions.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing enterprise network and systems infrastructure; adapting system requirements for new projects; and leveraging data management to optimize secure service delivery. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: reviewing access logs to report suspicious activity. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: assessing partner requests for application migration and provide recommendations. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: providing guidance to management, peers and end users. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: monitoring logs and reports to resolve or escalate detected issues.
