Product Manager – Proprietary Lending Growth

  • You’re a strategic product manager with a passion for growth and customer impact.
  • You combine commercial acumen, experimentation, analytics and AI to deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Together we can redefine how Australians experience the home buying journey.

See yourself in the team

The Home Buying team unlocks the dream of home ownership through end-to-end management of the Home Loan business, spanning activation, acquisition, monetisation, retention, and customer experience. Proprietary Lending plays a critical role in driving sustainable home loan growth. Our focus is to accelerate acquisition and conversion through AI-enabled insights, intelligent customer engagement, and tailored go-to-market strategies across proprietary segments.

As Product Manager in Proprietary Lending Growth, you will lead the evolution of our acquisition engine, shaping how customers discover, engage with, and choose CBA as their trusted home lending partner.

Do work that matters

In this role, you will own and optimise the end-to-end proprietary acquisition system, improving how leads are generated, qualified, routed, and converted through to application and approval.

  • Help define and execute the growth strategy for proprietary home loan acquisition.
  • Own AI-enabled, sales-led acquisition capabilities across digital, CRM, sales tooling, and partner channels.
  • Design intelligent qualification, routing, and personalisation frameworks to improve efficiency and customer experience.
  • Drive measurable improvements across key conversion points (lead-to-appointment, appointment-to-application, application-to-approval).
  • Lead structured experimentation to optimise funnel performance and acquisition efficiency.
  • Dive deep into funnel data using SQL/Python and identify where we’re leaking value.
  • Translate customer and frontline insights into scalable product solutions.
  • Partner closely with Lenders, Marketing, Operations, Risk, and Channel teams to deliver integrated outcomes.
  • Balance speed with compliance in a regulated environment.

Your work will directly influence customer experience, revenue growth, and the effectiveness of AI-enabled frontline teams.

We’re interested in hearing from people with:

  • Experience in growth product management or ownership of end-to-end acquisition funnels (highly regarded)
  • Strong commercial acumen, with accountability for revenue, conversion, and pipeline performance.
  • Demonstrated experimentation capability (A/B testing, funnel analytics, cohort analysis).
  • Proficient SQL skills and confidence using Python (or similar) to analyse data, run experiments, or build prototypes.
  • Familiarity with sales-led growth models, CRM systems, and lead management processes.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across commercial, risk, operations, and technology teams.
  • A bias for action, comfort with ambiguity, and a high level of ownership and accountability.
  • Experience in lending, fintech, property, or other regulated environments will be highly regarded.

What’s in it for you?

This is an opportunity to lead a critical growth engine within Home Buying and shape how AI enhances acquisition and sales effectiveness in a high-impact domain. You will gain exposure across Product, Sales, Marketing, and Channel teams while driving measurable commercial and customer outcomes. We operate in a hybrid working environment, combining time in the office with remote flexibility.
