THE OPPORTUNITY

MiQ is looking for a Product Manager to focus on localising and developing products & solutions for China. The Product Manager will support in scaling MiQ’s product offering by researching, scoping and developing scalable solutions for MiQ teams and clients alike.

This role requires a good mix of internal team collaboration as well as stakeholder management. You will be required to stay up-to-date with relevant industry offerings, be comfortable working with technology teams, and recommend key features and approaches that the team should adopt to build a strong product offering. You will also need to coordinate with commercial and trading teams to understand local market needs and factor those into product specifications.

You will work closely with MiQ’s VP Operations, Emerging Markets, our central product teams, engineering, DnA, and data science teams to develop scalable products & solutions across China.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Product & Solutions Manager is tasked with building new and localising & enhancing existing MiQ products & solutions for the China Outbound and MENA markets. 

 

DELIVERING PRODUCT PORTFOLIO

  • Ensure all Products under your Portfolio are delivering against product objectives and market OKRs – as per set timelines
  • Update timelines for Product & Solutions roadmap internally and externally periodically – based on pace set by VP Operations, Emerging Markets
  • Ideate and contribute to product localisation for the China Outbound market – including training, localisation of collateral (in collaboration with Marketing)
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product, marketing, sales, trading, account management and CoE teams
  • Relentlessly pursues adoption of best practices in product management across different work streams, continuously evaluates how teams are operating and ensures consistency & timely project delivery
  • Creation and regular updates on product best practices for Commercial and Operations teams at MiQ
  • Regular assessment of product & solutions “stability” and quality – including collecting internal and external feedback and improvement recommendations

 

PRODUCT & BUSINESS STRATEGY

  • Analyse product utilisation data and make recommendations related to regional product strategies and processes
  • Initiate and drive continuous improvements across products & solutions, including process improvement 
  • Based on new / evolving industry trends, identify opportunities for new product development or enhancement of existing products & solutions
  • Where relevant lead on product training, monitor adoption and lead on continuous market feedback collection for implementation into future product development & enhancement
  • Where appropriate, support with key client pitches based on local market needs & priorities 

 

PARTNERSHIP SCOPING

  • Identify/scope new partnership opportunities with relevant data and supply vendors for China Outbound – in alignment with Central Product and VP Operations for Emerging Markets
  • Where relevant, manage data partnerships with a view to constantly monitor value exchange and focus only on partnerships driving value for MiQ China and its clients
  • Contribute to contract negotiations with external vendors in alignment with VP Operations and market leads
  • In collaboration with VP Operations & Head of Trading, scope activation & operational nuances of product implementation/delivery
  • Ensure alignment with MiQ legal, tech requirements & specifications
  • Evangelize and support the adoption of global partnerships in collaboration with local trading, product, and commercial teams

 

GAIN FOLLOWERSHIP & INSPIRE 

  • Negotiate and gain advocacy from local market leads, operations lead, local sales and trading teams
  • Is recognized within MiQ and/or outside as a product and domain evangelist
  • Consistently puts their neck on the line to meet business deliverables and expectations across multiple products or product lines
  • Build and maintain a product wiki for China to house all relevant product & solutions information for the China Outbound teams
  • Contribute to a product team culture that inspires and motivates the whole team

 

INNOVATE ACROSS MiQ

  • Push and expand MiQ’s boundaries on product development for China
  • Identifies opportunities across MiQ functions, validates and brings them to the Product org
  • Identifies opportunities and product wide areas of growth, building out board and exec level proposals
  • Lead the ideation, technical development, launch and continued adoption of features you build

 


What you’ll bring  

TENURE

  • 3+ years of programmatic products / solutions development experience 
  • 3+ years’ experience of developing scalable custom solutions for clients operating in North America, EMEA and/or APAC

 

PRODUCT

  • Experience ideating, scoping and driving a new product area in an established product and technology team
  • Experience collaborating closely with Analytics, Engineering and DS teams
  • Experience working with commercial and operational teams to scope & deliver products & solutions
  • Experience leading complex external or internal projects – across different teams and geographies
  • Deep and broad technical knowledge of digital ecosystem in North America, EMEA and APAC
  • Proven track record of leveraging various LLM’s to deliver product enhancements & automations
  • Some experience negotiating data/platform/supply contracts & partnerships

 

LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT

  • Proven track record of effective project management, prioritisation & timely delivery of multiple products/projects simultaneously
  • Experience presenting to clients, senior internal stakeholders
  • Proven track record of managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders in a rigorous and timely manner (track record of delivering complex projects on time is a must)
