Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $107,200.00 - $160,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

About the Role

Cox Automotive is seeking a talented Product Designer II to join our team. In this role, you will support cross-functional teams designing key experiences for the Kelley Blue Book (KBB) brand. This position is ideal for detail-oriented, collaborative designers who apply critical thinking and design craft to solve real customer problems.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide design guidance as part of an AI transformation team, addressing real user needs while aligning to the KBB Design System.
  • Ensure delivered experiences maintain a high level of quality for end users.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts and user flows, and to support a spec-driven development team.
  • Present design work to peers and business leaders to build alignment, and partner with development teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
  • Apply and contribute to design systems, style guides, and UX standards to ensure consistency across experiences.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in AI, UX, and product design.
  • Advocate for user-centered design methods and data-informed decision-making.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HCI, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Computer Science, or related discipline and 2+ years of experience in UX, UI, Product Design, or a related field, with a portfolio demonstrating thoughtful UX solutions.
    • The right candidate may have a different combination, such as a master's degree and up to 2 years of experience or 6 years’ experience in a related field with no degree
  • Experience with end‑to‑end product design execution, including user research, discovery, concept ideation, prototyping, delivery support, and post‑release validation across one or more shipped digital products
  • Experience with Figma for design, prototyping, and alignment to a shared design system, including the ability to work independently within the tool
  • Experience using AI‑powered tools within the design workflow, including prototyping, ideation, or workflow acceleration
  • Experience collaborating directly with product managers, software engineers, and related roles as part of an agile or iterative delivery team
  • Experience creating wireframes, high‑fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate user flows and design intent
  • Experience creating complex prototypes using LLM-powered AI tools.
  • A portfolio showcasing relevant UX/UI work that demonstrates problem-solving and design thinking.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience producing design work that aligns with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) in digital product design
  • Experience applying and adhering to an established design system or component library to ensure design consistency and quality
  • Experience presenting design work to internal stakeholders to explain design approach, decisions, and trade‑offs
  • Experience working with Claude Enterprise, Figma Make, MCPs, and Claude Skills.
  • Experience working as part of a multi‑designer team, receiving and incorporating design feedback from peers
  • Previous experience in the automotive industry.
