Position Summary

Join a high‑impact Product Strategy organization responsible for strengthening product decisions through customer insight, market intelligence, and performance analytics across Cigna’s Supplemental Health Solutions (SHS) portfolio, including Accidental Injury, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, and emerging employee‑paid solutions.

The Product & Innovation Advisor plays a critical role in enabling value‑driven, consumer‑centric product decisions by embedding data, research, and insights throughout the product lifecycle. This role partners closely with Marketing, Pricing, Data Analytics, Operations, and Sales to inform innovation priorities, support go‑to‑market execution, and ensure products deliver meaningful value once in market.

This position is ideal for a highly analytical, insight‑driven product professional who excels at translating complex information into clear, decision‑ready recommendations that accelerate product success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inform product and innovation decisions through market, competitive, and customer research, performance analytics, and synthesized insights for product leadership.
  • Serve as a central point of integration for insights across claims, complaints, appeals, sales feedback, and industry research to identify trends and opportunities and support fact‑based decision‑making.
  • Partner with sales to provide competitive analysis for the product portfolio, including ongoing monitoring of market offerings, positioning, and differentiation.
  • Identify external research needs to support product enhancements, innovation concepts, and strategic decision‑making.
  • Partner with Data & Analytics teams to develop, interpret, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for in market products and translate into actionable insights that inform product optimization, prioritization, and roadmap discussions.
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand emerging trends and convert insights into clear, actionable inputs and recommendations enabling consumer‑focused product development that guide product design and prioritization.
  • Ensure innovation ideas and enhancements demonstrate clear customer value, market appeal, and insights are embedded early and consistently throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support successful product delivery by partnering across Product, Marketing, Pricing, Analytics, Operations, and Sales to assist with all go-to-market activities.  

Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in product, innovation, analytics, strategy, or market research within healthcare, insurance, or a related regulated industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative inputs into concise, decision‑ready insights.
  • Experience partnering cross‑functionally across product, analytics, marketing, operations, and sales organizations to support the product lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with executional support in a fast‑moving product environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable narratives for product leaders.
  • Undergraduate degree required.
