Dematic is looking for a Procurement Senior Category Lead to join our team and help invent the future of strategic sourcing. As part of this position, you will develop and complete category strategies that enable scalable, profitable growth while driving innovation across our global supply chain. You’ll use data-driven insights, market intelligence, and advanced procurement technologies to optimize cost, mitigate risk, and improve supplier performance.

You will collaborate with teams in Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Quality, and Solutions Development to align procurement initiatives with business objectives. Your success will be measured by Total Cost of Ownership savings, cash generation, margin improvement, and supplier performance in quality and delivery. This role also ensures risk mitigation and contract compliance to maintain operational resilience.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $90,750.00 to $120,000.00 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will do in This Role:

  • Develop and communicate category strategies for assigned spend areas

  • Identify and maintain reliable sources of supply to meet quality, service, and cost goals

  • Negotiate agreements using market analysis and scenario planning to achieve favorable outcomes

  • Work with internal teams to coordinate negotiation strategies and deliver meaningful results

  • Build risk assessments and mitigation plans to prevent supply disruptions and respond quickly when challenges arise

  • Review and provide input on contract terms, pricing, and delivery requirements

  • Build cost models and analyze market trends to understand pricing and supply chain impacts

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, engineering, or a related field

  • 8+ years of regional or global procurement experience

  • Experience in project-based procurement or managing integrated automated technology and software is a plus

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and lead

  • Advanced quantitative, cost modeling, and data analysis capabilities

  • Ability to operate independently in a global, matrixed environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
