Job title: Procurement Specialist

Location: Rijswijk, Netherlands.

Scheme: Hybrid (2 days onsite, 3 days WFH).

Time: Full‑time (40 hours / week).

What You'll Be Doing

In this Procurement Specialist position at GenScript, you will be responsible for managing and executing procurement activities across both EU and UK sites. The role will support multiple functions including Logistics, Administrative, HR, EHS, and Production Operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services in alignment with company standards and supply chain requirements. You will need the ability to respond quickly and efficiently to urgent logistics and operational procurement needs, build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and service quality, sign contracts and record information in the system while regularly reviewing supplier pricing to secure better deals, and collaborate with the Global Procurement Team to source materials in different countries as needed, ensuring compliance with local regulations, cost requirements, and supply continuity. In practice, your responsibilities will include:

1.    Cross-Site Procurement Management

• Execute end-to-end procurement requests from both EU and UK sites.
• Coordinate with logistics, production, and back office teams to ensure requirements are clearly captured.
• Ensure suppliers deliver goods and services on time and meet quality standards.

2. Supplier & Contract Management

• Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, lead times, and service levels.
• Monitor supplier performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.

3.    Support for Logistics Operations

• Procure equipment, packaging materials, consumables, and other logistics-related items or service.
• Collaborate with logistics team to align procurement with shipping schedules and inventory needs. 

4.    Support for Production and Back Office Functions

• Procure production materials, lab consumables, and equipment as required. 
• Manage procurement requests for administrative, HR, and EHS related items.
• Track budget usage and provide reporting on procurement activities. 

5.    Process & Compliance:

• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and EU & UK local laws.
• Maintain accurate records in SAP or procurement systems.
• Contribute to process optimization and standardization across EU and UK
