Procurement Manager – Contracting Center of Excellence (CoE)

About the Team


Our Procurement Contracting Center of Excellence (CoE) is a global capability team within Procurement Strategy & Delivery that supports Haleon’s ambition of delivering best‑in‑class contracting excellence, compliance, risk mitigation and value realization. The team develops and governs contracting standards, templates, playbooks, processes, technologies and insights that ensure consistent, high‑quality contracting outcomes across all categories and regions. By working as One Procurement — in partnership with Legal, Category Management, Risk, Finance, Data & Digital, and regional procurement teams — the Contracting CoE drives performance, reduces complexity, enhances stakeholder experience and strengthens business controls.

The Contracting CoE, along with the Procurement Strategy & Delivery Leadership Team, will instil a culture of continuous improvement and a Service Excellence mindset. This team will work globally ensuring consistency in the right contracting processes and ensure solutions meet the needs locally, where required.

Role Overview

The Procurement Contracting CoE Manager provides hands‑on contracting support across the full contract lifecycle, ensuring agreements are accurate, compliant, and executed efficiently. This role supports Procurement, Legal, and business stakeholders by applying standard templates, clauses, and processes to deliver consistent and high‑quality contracting outcomes.

As a core member of the Contracting Centre of Excellence, this role contributes to service excellence, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Drafting & Review

  • Draft, review, and amend procurement contracts, NDAs, and related documentation using approved templates and playbooks

  • Execution of medium-low spend contracts in close collaboration with our Global category and business partnering procurement teams

  • Support contract negotiations, advise on contractual risks, develop mitigation strategies, and administer contracts for the organization

  • Ensure contracts are complete, accurate, and aligned with company standards and fallback positions

  • Identify contractual risks, deviations, or non‑standard terms and escalate as required

Contract Execution & Administration

  • Support end‑to‑end contract execution, including approvals, signatures, and record management

  • Maintain accurate contract records and metadata within procurement and contract management systems

  • Ensure timely progress of contracts in line with agreed service levels

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure data accuracy, audit readiness, and compliance across contracting tools and document repositories

  • Apply internal policies, controls, and approval frameworks consistently

  • Support audit requests, reporting, and compliance reviews

  • Ensure documentation meets regulatory and internal audit expectations

Stakeholder Support

  • Provide responsive, customer‑focused contracting support to Procurement and business stakeholders

  • Collaborate closely with Procurement and Legal colleagues

  • Support issue resolution with a practical and solution‑oriented approach

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify recurring issues, process gaps, or template improvements

  • Contribute to initiatives that improve contracting efficiency, quality, and cycle time

  • Support knowledge sharing and documentation of best practices

Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Bachelors – Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, related field or any Bachelors, combined with relevant experience.

  • 5 to 8+ years of experience in procurement, contracting, or supply chain management with strong understanding of contract administration, procurement operations, or legal/procurement support

  • Strong working knowledge of procurement contracts, NDAs, and contract lifecycle processes

  • Strong hands-on experience on Contracting tools and technologies (Ariba, OnIT, etc).

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors, risks, and inconsistencies

  • Good analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

  • Understanding of procurement governance, compliance, and audit expectations is desirable

  • Exposure to global and cross‑border contracting environments

  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent experience in continuous improvement methodologies.
