Role Objective

Ensure smooth, timely, and cost-efficient procurement of lithium-ion battery components for Enerjazz. Manage vendor relationships, purchase planning, inventory accuracy, and logistics coordination to ensure uninterrupted supply.


Key Responsibilities

Procurement

  • Manage end-to-end procurement of lithium-ion battery cells, packs, modules, BMS, chargers, and accessories.
  • Track vendor production timelines and follow up daily for dispatch updates.
  • Maintain purchase tracker: quantities, pricing, expected delivery dates.
  • Raise purchase orders (POs) and ensure vendor acknowledgment + adherence.
  • Evaluate new suppliers based on quality, pricing, lead time, and reliability.
  • Compare quotations and prepare cost analysis sheets for management approval.

Inventory & Supply Planning

  • Maintain daily stock visibility of batteries, chargers, IOT kits, spares.
  • Plan procurement to avoid stockouts or overstocking (min-max inventory).
  • Coordinate with service team for spare part requirements and replenishment.
  • Maintain inward/outward registers in Google Sheets (later ERP).

Logistics Coordination

  • Plan last-mile logistics for battery dispatch to dealers or field teams.
  • Coordinate with transporters for pickup, tracking, delivery timelines.
  • Ensure proper packaging, documentation, and QC checklist before dispatch.
  • Track all shipments and provide daily updates to sales + operations teams.

Vendor & Documentation Management

  • Maintain updated vendor database with pricing, MOQ, and lead times.
  • Ensure all purchase documents, GRNs, QC reports, invoices are accurate.
  • Reconcile vendor bills with GRN + PO before forwarding to accounts.
  • Maintain compliance docs (BIS, warranty slips, test reports).

Process Discipline & Reporting

  • Maintain weekly procurement dashboard (PO status, GRN, dispatch delays).
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for any supply delay or QC rejection.
  • Support process automation and ERP implementation.
  • Build SOPs for procurement, vendor follow-up, and logistics flows.

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong command of Google Sheets (VLOOKUP, pivot, trackers).
  • Process-oriented mindset and very high attention to detail.
  • Comfortable communicating with vendors on WhatsApp/calls.
  • Ability to follow up consistently and firmly without escalation.
  • Ownership mindset — treating procurement as mission-critical to Enerjazz growth.

Bonus If You Have

  • Experience in battery procurement, EV components, or electronics supply chain.
  • Exposure to logistics, warehouse/inventory management.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and purchase workflows.

Growth Path

  • Procurement Manager (12–18 months).
  • Own the supply chain function as Enerjazz scales to multiple geographies.
