What you will do

As a Procurement Coordinator, you will support the day‑to‑day operational procurement activities to ensure materials and services are available on time, in the right quantity and quality, to support business and production requirements.

You will be responsible for creating and managing purchase orders, monitoring supplier delivery performance, resolving supply issues and maintaining accurate procurement data across systems. The role works closely with Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics and Finance teams to ensure continuity of supply and adherence to procurement processes.

 

How you will do it

You will coordinate and expedite the flow of purchased materials from approved suppliers, ensuring purchase orders are placed, confirmed and progressed in line with demand and inventory targets.

You will maintain close communication with suppliers to track deliveries, manage changes and proactively resolve delays or shortages.

You will support material planning activities by reviewing demand signals, inventory levels and MRP outputs, escalating risks where required.

You will ensure procurement data is accurate and up to date, including pricing, lead times and supplier confirmations, and support reporting on delivery performance and inventory metrics.

What we are looking for

Required

  • GCSE qualifications in Maths and English
  • Experience in a procurement, supply chain or materials coordination role
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Preferred

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management
  • APICS or CIPS qualification (or working towards)
