Procurement Agent Manager

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Procurement Agent Senior Manager to join our Primary Structures Asia team in Everett, WA.

Boeing Commercial Airplanes Global Supply Chain is responsible for managing a worldwide network of supplier-partners who support all of our airplane programs: 737, 767, 777 and 787.

The Asia Structures team leads the partnership with our Asian structures suppliers that are based on Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Malaysia and Australia.

As a contracts senior manager, you will lead a team of three first lines who are responsible for structures contracts in Asia and primary structures sourcing worldwide.

Our team is looking for experienced Senior (Level M) Procurement Agent Manager. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages Procurement Agent employees and mid-level managers performing activities related to committing company resources to purchase goods and services, developing supplier strategies, development of bid packages, proposal analysis, and development of contracts.
  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
  • Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Provides oversight regarding negotiation strategies, processes and related tools.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience in Supplier Management/Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer, Supplier Program Manager, Supply Chain Management Analyst/Item Manager, or Supply Base Manager
  • 10+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role
  • 10+ years of experience in managing or supporting large projects, working with many stakeholders, including stakeholders in different cultures
  • Domestic and international travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
  • 10+ years of experience with organizing, planning, facilitating and executing customer logistics
  • Strong communicator at all levels
  • Experience with the application of lean principals and/or systems thinking
  • Demonstrated experience taking initiative, leading cross functional teams, working across organizational boundaries, and ensuring an inclusive environment
