The Role:

The Process Engineering Lead is a people-focused engineering leader responsible for managing a team of approximately seven Process Engineers and Controls Engineers while driving safe, high‑quality, and efficient manufacturing operations. This role supports key elements of product safety, quality, and throughput by leading the development, implementation, and optimization of assembly processes. The Process Engineering Lead is accountable for team performance and talent development, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement, and partners closely with internal stakeholders and external organizations to deliver robust, compliant, and scalable assembly solutions aligned with business objectives.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Lead and develop a team of Process Engineers and Controls Engineers, providing coaching, performance management, and career development support

  • Provide day‑to‑day production support to ensure safe, stable, and efficient manufacturing operations

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, throughput, cost, and process 

  • Own and champion product and process safety, ensuring compliance with safety standards

  • Ensure manufacturing processes consistently meet quality requirements and support defect prevention and root cause resolution

  • Represent the product and manufacturing processes at program and cross‑functional forums, serving as the engineering point of contact

  • Interface with internal stakeholders and external partners/suppliers to develop, implement, and optimize assembly processes

  • Lead structured problem‑solving efforts using standard methodologies to address production, quality, and throughput issues

  • Conduct and facilitate team meetings to review performance, priorities, issues, and improvement actions

  • Support the development and execution of process controls, standards, and best practices across the assembly area

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Ability to work weekends/over time as needed

  • Familiar with red tag process, g-comply, machine installation, and safety buyoffs.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting production operations, including issue resolution related to safety, quality, and throughput

What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • People leader experience

  • Engine, transmission, and GPS experience

  • Experience working with diesel engines

  • Torque and fastening experience

  • GMS experience

  • WSS experience

  • Continuous Improvement experience
