What you will do
The Process Engineer focuses on the design, implementation, operation, control, optimization, and intensification of an industrial process.
How will you do it
Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as instruments, robots, machines, etc.
Continue evaluation of the safety, quality and efficiency of the process, making and implementing proposals to improve the process when needed
Maximizes efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.
Continual evaluation of equipment and processes to ensure both efficiency and quality remain high on production floor
Provides leadership and supports divisional efforts in identifying continuous improvement and quality improvement opportunities.
Review the KPI monitoring systems and determine ways to improve their ability to maintain company operations
Monitoring of equipment – including regular testing and ensuring maintenance tasks are carried out
Data collection, interpretation and report writing – Daily on process capability and results
Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data propose corrective actions
Assist in ISO 9001:2015 & IATF 16969:2016 Certification
May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products.
Determines parts and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification.
Foster development and growth of programming skillset with maintenance team at facility.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical failures of production machines in a timely manner.
Maintains frequent and regular contact with internal customers to understand and address opportunities on projects.
Handles design responsibilities along with other engineers assigned to the project.
Reviews product and process designs for compliance and safety, adherence to company standards, customer contract requirements and to ensure timely completion.
Reviews capital and revenue budgets of multiple projects.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
What we look for
A 4-year degree in Engineer is required; BSME, BSIE, or BSEE is preferred (or equivalent)
Minimum 4 years’ experience in engineering, quality or product development
Minimum 4 years working in a manufacturing environment, Tier I Automotive preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills – ability to communicate across all levels within organization and considerable customer interaction.
