Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

Salary range (but not limited to):

57,000 - 71,200

We are looking for  Private Placement Analyst for our growing team! 

What you’ll do here:  

  • Support portfolio managers and analysts in investment decisions

  • Involvement in the selection of managers for private placements

  • Creation of portfolio management tools

  • Participation in numerous meetings dealing with different asset classes with your team as well as with other teams from Intact Investment Management

  • Monitoring the private placement portfolio and its various asset classes (Infrastructure and Real Estate, private debt, structured products, and many others)

  • Meetings with external managers for portfolio monitoring of private placements and the search for new investment opportunities

  • Learning several software programs (Bloomberg, Excel, and the Office suite)

  • Execution of various special projects, including projects related to the integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors in investment

What you bring to the table:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance or Finance-Economics, in progress

  • Internship experience (an asset)

  • You are curious and interested in the field of investment.

  • You have skills in problem-solving and decision-making.

  • You enjoy collaborating with your colleagues and partners.

  • You have basic proficiency in Excel.

  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country. 

  • No Canadian work experience required, but must be eligible to work in Canada. 

  • You are available 35 hours per week from August 31 to December 18, 2026.

  • Must be actively enrolled in a post-secondary institution during the internship
