Job Description

The Associate, Private Markets will provide analytical, research, and execution support to the Head of Private Markets in managing and growing the firm’s investment across private equity, private debt, infrastructure and real assets. The role requires strong financial acumen, research ability, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in private market investing.

The successful candidate will assist with investment due diligence, portfolio monitoring, market analysis, and preparation of investment materials for internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities: 

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: 

  • Support the Head of Private Markets in sourcing, evaluating, and executing private market investment opportunities 

  • Perform financial analysis, modeling, and valuation of potential investments, funds, or co-investment opportunities 

  • Conduct background research on sectors, managers, and transactions to inform investment decisions 

  • Assist in preparing investment committee memos, presentations, and reports 

  • Track performance and key developments across existing private market investments 

  • Liaise with fund managers, consultants, internal team to support due diligence and transaction execution  

  • Contribute to portfolio review meetings and strategic discussions on pipeline development  

  • Monitor macroeconomic, industry, and regulatory trends impacting private markets developments 

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required 

  • 3 - 6 years of experience in private equity, private debt, infrastructure, investment banking, or corporate finance is required  

  • Solid understanding of financial modelling, valuation techniques, and investment principles  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to distil complex information clearly  

  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple workstreams 

  • Enthusiastic, intellectually curious, and eager to learn within a fast-paced investment environment
