Operate large capacity printers, copiers, scanners, folders, and postage meters in the printing of publications, forms, bulletins, or other items.
Receiving, checking, and sorting mail ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
Responsible for delivering mail to the correct recipients, either by hand or using mail distribution systems.
Cleans and makes necessary adjustments and minor repairs to equipment.
Maintains an inventory of materials or supplies on hand.
Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities for streamlining print processes, implementing new technologies, and enhancing overall efficiency.
Basic working knowledge of Large Scale printshop/Mailroom equipment and in the operation of said equipment.
On-site attendance is an essential function of the position, as the role requires direct interaction with staff, clients, and on-site office resources.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required at this level include knowledge of setup, operation, and minor maintenance of a variety of Printshop/Mailroom Equipment; of basic mathematics; of basic grammar, spelling and punctuation; of the operation of multicolor printing; and of modern office procedures. Ability is required to operate and perform minor repairs and adjustments to Printing Equipment.
Work is typically performed in an office setting with climate-controlled settings and exposure to moderate noise level. While performing the duties of the job, employee is required to talk, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. This position requires regular periods of sitting or standing and daily use of computer and phone. It also requires the occasional use of the office machinery in accordance with safety and security protocols.
Exposure to various chemicals and substances may be expected in order to perform certain duties.
Education and Experience requirements for this position require 1 year of experience working in a mailroom/printshop; basic knowledge of large capacity Printing, Scanning, Inserting/Folding Postage meters and other reproduction/peripheral equipment; or the completion of a vocational or technical education program in offset printing.
Employees must be able to remain sitting for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
Employees must be capable of lifting, carrying, and moving objects of up to 25 pounds.
Manual dexterity is necessary for the operation of computer equipment and related office tools.
Routine use of office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, and printers.
Computer Skills – Employee must be capable of proficiently using the OESC’s standard software (Microsoft Office - Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and Teams), and the Internet, as well as proficiency to learn other software as needed.
