Responsibilities:
- Be part of the team to develop, optimize, and validate image processing algorithms and tune tables to improve print quality.
- Develop and validate a psychometric scale to quantify image quality degradation that correlates well with perception of quality by human observers.
- Participate in the end‑to‑end development of image processing pipelines, including algorithm design, implementation, tuning, and performance optimization.
- Work with software, firmware, hardware, mechanical, and product teams to ensure best in class print and scanning image quality solutions. Provide image quality expertise during design reviews, feature definition, and trade‑off discussions affecting print and scan performance.
- Integrate image quality tests into the overall product verification process and support troubleshooting and resolution of complex print/scan image quality issues. Lead or support root‑cause analysis of complex image quality issues across hardware, firmware, mechanical, or software domains.
- Work with development, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure image quality robustness from early development through mass production and field deployment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or science with a strong Physics background preferred.
- Academic or work experience related to Computer Science, Mathematics, Imaging, Color Science or other related fields.
- No color vision deficiency.
- A naturally curious mind with the drive to make a difference in the industry and produce high quality work.
- Strong programming experience in MathWorks MATLAB, Python, Microsoft PowerShell, Wolfram Mathematica, etc.
- Fast learner, one who is open to learn new skills and has a growth mindset.
- An independent worker, who takes up initiative to drive tasks to completion and strong team player who is also able to work in a team setting.
- Takes initiative to understand problem statement, use cases, workflow, and follow through with process improvement.
- Able to collaborate and communicate with project team effectively on progress, resolve issues and validate that the solution meets the expectations of stakeholders.
