• This role is responsible for leading multiple project teams of mechanical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners across complex product and platform development. The position oversees headcount, resources, schedules, and costs across multiple concurrent programs while building and maintaining strong partner relationships. The role brings deep domain expertise, providing mechanical and thermal leadership and perspective to cross‑organizational initiatives, evaluating designs for compliance, and driving innovation through the integration of new technologies.
• Lead multiple project teams of mechanical hardware engineers and internal and outsourced development partners across all phases of mechanical and thermal development for complex products and platforms, including solution design, validation, tooling, and testing.
• Manage headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs across multiple active projects, ensuring effective resource allocation and alignment with program, organizational, and technology roadmaps.
• Build, manage, and expand strategic relationships with internal stakeholders and outsourced development partners focused on mechanical and thermal design and development.
• Review and evaluate designs and project activities to ensure compliance with development standards, technology guidelines, and quality requirements; provide actionable feedback to improve product robustness and performance.
• Provide domain‑specific expertise and serve as the mechanical and thermal engineering authority for cross‑organizational projects, programs, and initiatives.
• Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to enhance products, processes, and services.
• Drive innovation by identifying, evaluating, and integrating new technologies into mechanical and thermal design projects and organizational activities.
• Resolve technical and program challenges in well‑defined situations by analyzing alternatives using experience, engineering judgment, and established precedents.
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to less experienced engineers and project team members.
• Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Business related field
• Typically 7–10 years of professional experience in engineering design, solution development, and implementation across the hardware development lifecycle, or a related field.
