Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Principle Industrial Security Analyst (4) or Principle Industrial Security Analyst (3) in Northridge, CA. To serve as the site Designated Government Representative (DGR) and Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO).
This is a multi-faceted security position, for the support of a program as it relates to all applicable classified federal, contractual, customer and company requirements.
This role is responsible for the day-to-day execution and oversight of the Industrial Security Program in compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), customer requirements, and internal policies.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Designated Government Representative (DGR)
AFSO responsibilities to include supporting multiple CAGE codes
DD254 management
Supporting a fast-paced, high-profile program; creating, maintain and leverage working relationships with internal and external customers
Develops, and administers, security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment
Conduct and oversee self-inspections, internal assessments, and preparation for DCSA reviews
Ensure proper handling, safeguarding, transmission, and accountability of classified information and material
Coordinate required security reporting (e.g., adverse information, security incidents, violations, and suspicious contacts)
Provide security guidance and training to employees, managers, and program teams
Interface with DCSA/ISRs, government customers, and internal leadership
Support implementation of enterprise security initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations
Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitor’s access to restricted records and materials
Conducts security education classes and related briefings. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken
Basic Qualifications:
Principle Industrial Security Analyst (3)
Must have a high school diploma or GED with at least 9 years of related experience; OR 5 plus years of experience with a bachelor's degree; OR 3 plus year of relevant experience with a master's degree
Designated Government Representative (DGR) experience supporting international security
FSO or AFSO experience
Experience with government security databases: DISS, NISS
Experience with safeguarding and accountability of classified information
Working knowledge of the following standards/documents; 32 CFR part 117, NISP
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or 365, including MS Word, MS EXCEL
Experience in programming and troubleshooting Lenel Access Control issues locally and remotely
This position requires an active DoD SECRET Security Clearance, interim secret clearance acceptable
Sr. Principle Industrial Security Analyst (4):
Must have a high school diploma or GED with at least 12 years of related experience; OR 8 plus years of experience with a bachelor's degree; OR 6 plus year of relevant experience with a master's degree
Designated Government Representative (DGR) experience supporting international security
FSO or AFSO experience
Experience with government security databases: DISS, NISS
Experience with safeguarding and accountability of classified information
Working knowledge of the following standards/documents; 32 CFR part 117, NISP
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or 365, including MS Word, MS EXCEL
Experience in programming and troubleshooting Lenel Access Control issues locally and remotely
This position requires an active DoD SECRET Security Clearance, interim secret clearance acceptable
