We are looking for a Principal Software Developer who is a senior technical leader responsible for designing, developing, and guiding enterprise grade Salesforce solutions. This is a thought and technical leadership role that combines deep platform expertise with strong architectural thinking, expertise in integration patterns, hands-on development, and leadership of technical teams. The Principal Developer partners closely with business, product, and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high quality solutions across the Salesforce ecosystem that simplify sale conversions from leads to fulfillment.
Location: You will be based in our Toronto office, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do
Lead end-to-end solution design for complex Salesforce implementations across multiple clouds (Sales, Service, Experience, Marketing, etc.).
Define and enforce technical standards, best practices, and development patterns.
Work with Solution Architects and Enterprise Architects to align Salesforce solutions with overall enterprise architecture
Drive evaluation and adoption of new Salesforce technologies and features.
Optimize code and integrations for performance, maintainability, and scalability
Hands-on development for important/strategic features or products
Mentor Salesforce developers, admins, and junior architects.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Advise leadership on the technical roadmap, platform limits, and opportunities.
Provide estimates, technical plans, and risk assessments.
Review code, solution designs, and integration strategies across development teams.
Ensure adherence to Salesforce development lifecycle practices (CI/CD, DevOps pipelines, version control).
Identify technical debt and optimizations within Salesforce ecosystem and champion a technical roadmap that can be implemented in parallel to product development
Gain a wholistic view of the Moneris sales process for the multiple sales team and streamline Salesforce clouds for the different stakeholders
Your Moneris Career - What you bring
5+ years of technical leadership experience or equivalent expertise
7+ years of Salesforce development experience
Expert level knowledge of:
Apex, LWC, Visualforce
Data model Design (custom objects and schema optimization)
Salesforce APIs and integration patterns
Salesforce security and data architecture including profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, role hierarchy and shield
Flows, apex triggers and automation strategy
Governor limits and async processing
Mulesoft
Salesforce Sales cloud, Salesforce Experience cloud
Experience architecting and delivering high-quality, high-security, and high-availability solutions
Experience with continuous learning about emerging technologies and software best practices
Experience in leading delivery of a large Salesforce project with integrations to internal systems
