Our Principal Program Cost Control Analyst will help prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and assist with financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlooks, cash forecasting and variance analysis. You will also work to ensure adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation for expenditure projections and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government. 

This position is in Redondo Beach, CA and does not offer an option of teleworking or working from an alternate location. The incumbent selected must work on site in Redondo Beach, CA.

The selected candidate will perform data analysis to optimize use of tools with dashboard updates of the business pipeline for Non-Contract Technical Activity (NCTA) management. They will also provide strategic analysis of Business Unit funding to produce actionable management information, support continuous improvement and drive adoption of tools and practices.  Reviews and reports on project metrics to benchmark effectiveness will also be a part of the scope of work and will require the incumbent to work closely with stakeholders to ensure that tool data sets are accurately implemented, maintaining metrics, and other project management duties.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide assistance, service, and support to division and business units to increase efficiency, effectiveness and reporting of division program execution metrics
  • Support Business Unit NCTA and financial reporting utilizing the RDIS and other on-line tools.
  • Perform various operations support tasks as needed, such as recording meeting minutes and actions, generating reports and briefing slides, managing miscellaneous tools and submitting data through computer applications and tools.
  • Organize and prioritize tasking to successfully execute on multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Understanding pipeline/LRSP to ensure accurate NCTA funding and support business growth, analyze data and update dashboards as needed.
  • Provide data management and analysis skills with working knowledge of Excel/ PowerPoint to represent data visually
  • Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks
  • May develop and deliver presentations

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of stated professional experience – OR – Master’s degree – OR – an additional 4+ years of stated experience with a High School diploma in lieu of degree
  • Experience with financial analysis or reporting 
  • Experience with MS Office Suite
  • Requires an active Department of Defense (DoD) Top-Secret Clearance and/or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Access at the time of application

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration
  • Defense industry experience 
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
  • Military Leadership Experience  
  • Program Cost Control experience
  • Experience with FAR/DFAR 
  • Experience with Costpoint, Cobra, Primavera or SAP

Northrop Grumman Total Rewards 

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
