Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries' Fab 9 is seeking a PMTS - Process Integration Engineer to support our 200mm semiconductor manufacturing facility in Essex Junction, VT. The core responsibilities of this team involve ownership of process integration and yield engineering of Fab 9 semiconductor technologies; maintaining performance and driving improvements related to performance, yield, manufacturability, and cost optimization of technologies in high volume production and ramping new technologies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a technical understanding of semiconductor principles and a keen understanding of a balanced scorecard approach to develop, sustain, and improve semiconductor technologies with quality, cost, and delivery all considered. This role is fully on site, working Monday - Friday daytime hours, with occasional additional coverage as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Identify and prioritize projects that align with strategic goals and objectives
  • Define and execute plan for successful ramp of new products/technologies
  • Lead and matrix manage across the organization to assess risk and execute tasks to achieve the objective
  • Clear and concise communication of project status and results to internal and external(customer) stakeholders
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across organizations to develop and drive action plans for ramping new technologies/products
  • Feedback success criteria to product life cycle for business process refinement
  • Identify and drive cost productivity through improved yield, indirect materials, simplified or improved process sequences, and migration to strategic equipment platforms
  • Assess and transfer of technologies into or out of the fabricator
  • Collaborate with technology development and process module teams to implement best practices into new technologies during development and qualification

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
  • Other duties as assigned by manager / supervisor

Required Qualifications:

  • Education - Bachelor of Science degree in science, math, engineering, semiconductor manufacturing or a related discipline
  • Experience - Minimum 11+ years of semiconductor engineering manufacturing experience (in addition to a BS degree). May also be MS degree combined with minimum 8 years' relevant semiconductor manufacturing engineer experience. May also be a relevant PhD degree combined with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience.
  • Prior process integration experience
  • Project management skills / team leadership experience - i.e., the ability to innovate solutions and the ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Travel - Up to 10%
  • Fluency in English Language – both written & verbal
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with diverse teams.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in science, math, engineering, semiconductor manufacturing, or a related discipline
  • Working device physics understanding
  • Ability to analyze / characterize electrical and physical data in support of project identification and demonstration of improvement
  • Strong structured problem-solving skills and experience
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles

Expected Salary Range

$131,900.00 - $241,500.00
