Northrop Grumman Brand Management is seeking a Principal Media Production Analyst (Cinematographer) to join our Creative Operations team of qualified, highly engaged and enthusiastic communications professionals focused on the promotion and publicity of our people, products and the mission they support.

This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA. This is not a remote position.

Qualified candidates must be prepared to thrive in a highly active environment that demands collaboration, innovative thinking, creative storytelling and use of digital tools to effectively communicate to employees, customers, the public, industry, stakeholders and others. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA reporting to the Creative Services Manager. Qualified candidates must have at least 6 years of work experience in videography and photography, extensive knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office platform, and the ability to work on Mac and PC operating systems.

The ideal candidate will infuse new ideas and techniques that elevate the brand image through our creative projects. Customer satisfaction and being a strategic communications partner is a top priority. Qualified candidates must have demonstrated experience and a creative mind to work with colleagues in the business and bring their ideas to life.  For greatest success, the candidate will thrive while working multiple projects, performing to tight deadlines, being attentive to details and possess solid communication, design and time management skills.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in Film, Cinematography, Photography, or Digital Media OR Master's degree and 3 years of experience in Film, Cinematography, Photography, or Digital Media OR Associate's degree and 7 years of experience in Film, Cinematography, Photography, or Digital Media OR High School Diploma and 9 years of experience in Film, Cinematography, Photography, or Digital Media

  • Experience operating a variety of standard and special-purpose still and video cameras to experiment with lighting and composition

  • Experienced in studio photography and film editing

  • Experienced user of the Adobe Creative Suite of applications: Lightroom, Adobe Bridge, Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Photoshop; additional Adobe applications are a plus

  • Customer service experience and ability to work independently and collaboratively on a multimedia team

  • Extended work week including weekend support may be required

  • Candidates must have the ability to obtain a DOD Secret level security clearance as a condition of continued employment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience coordinating and directing the execution of creative assignments for advertising, news, publicity, and/or technical use

  • Deep understanding of cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, digital sensors, and post-production workflows

  • Ability to convey narrative, mood, and emotion through shot composition, framing, and movement, even without sound

  • A strong sense of aesthetics, color theory, and visual design, often developed through art/photography studies or self-practice

  • Experience user of Adobe Audition and DaVinci Resolve

  • Experience working on motion graphics and animation

  • Proficient using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel

  • Drone photography is a plus but not necessary

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
