The Raytheon Product Data Management (PDM) team delivers high-quality data management systems that support the entire product lifecycle, from initial design to manufacturing and field support. As a critical part of this ecosystem, the team ensures the seamless operation of PDM tools, which are integral to Raytheon’s mission.

The Digital Technologies (DT) Engineering Digital Solutions (EDS) group is seeking a motivated Business Systems & Transformation Technologist (Principal Specialist) to serve as a Windchill Application Administrator for a PDM/PLM system. This role focuses on implementing, enhancing, and maintaining PDM solutions for classified programs in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

In this position, you will provide onsite server-side and end-user support for multiple active PDM tool deployments, addressing issues and ensuring reliable operation. Success in the role requires strong collaboration with stakeholders across distributed teams, functional groups, and Programs at various stages of development. You will engage with subject matter experts in digital technology, engineering, configuration management, and data management to drive effective solutions.

This is a first-shift position based onsite at Raytheon locations across the greater North Dallas, TX area, with occasional travel requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Respond to help-desk tickets and project-driven tasks for existing production areas. Perform sustainment, deployment, minor patching, and major upgrades for applications such as Apache web server, Red Hat Linux operating system, Oracle database, and PDM tools.

  • Deploy the PDM tool-suite for new production areas and conduct acceptance testing for new versions of the tool-suite.

  • Author, update, and follow technical documentation to standardize processes and ensure successful task execution.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues using strong problem-solving skills, while identifying opportunities for process improvement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity, system administrators, program management, and engineers, to ensure effective and timely deployment of the PDM tool-suite.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

  • Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix commands, operations, and administration.

  • Enterprise Red Hat Linux (RHEL): Specific experience with RHEL, including installation, configuration, patch management, and troubleshooting, as it's commonly used in enterprise environments.

  • Shell Scripting: Experience writing and debugging scripts (e.g., Bash, Perl, Python) to automate system tasks, streamline deployments, and improve operational efficiency.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience deploying, upgrading, or managing PTC Windchill and related tools.

  • Experience with technologies such as Oracle database, Apache web server, CAD tools (e.g., Creo Parametric), and Agile processes (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, SAFe, Kanban).

  • Aerospace and Defense industry experience and knowledge of Raytheon security protocols, Common PDM tools, and classified area processes.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
