The Principal, HR Transformation, Change & Project Management is a senior strategic leader responsible for preparing the HR function for AI-enabled transformation. This role leads the end-to-end change and adoption strategy, governs a portfolio of high-impact initiatives, and ensures disciplined execution through strong program management and enterprise change leadership. This leader serves as the connective link between HR strategy, AI-enabled technology, and workforce readiness, translating strategy into sequenced, measurable outcomes that drive sustainable value.

Key Responsibilities:

AI Transformation Preparedness and Adoption Strategy

  • Design and lead the end-to-end change and adoption strategy for AI-enabled HR transformation.

  • Translate HR and enterprise strategy into a sequenced AI transformation roadmap with defined milestones, KPIs, and value targets.

  • Identify and prioritize AI use cases across HR and define adoption pathways, success metrics, and value realization plans.

  • Align AI initiatives with the evolving HR operating model and workforce capability strategy.

  • Champion AI literacy across the HR function to accelerate adoption and behavioral change.

Change Architecture and Workforce Readiness

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive change architecture, including executive sponsorship models, stakeholder mapping, communications strategy, enablement programs, and reinforcement mechanisms.

  • Prepare HR leaders and managers to lead AI-enabled change by establishing decision-making frameworks, governance structures, and behavioral expectations.

  • Establish feedback loops and adoption measurement systems to monitor readiness, sentiment, utilization rates, and sustained behavior change.

  • Mitigate transformation risk by proactively identifying resistance points and implementing targeted interventions.

HR Transformation Portfolio Governance and Execution

  • Establish and govern the HR AI transformation portfolio, including intake processes, prioritization criteria, stage gates, sequencing, and benefits tracking.

  • Lead and mentor two Project Managers, ensuring disciplined execution, risk management, resource alignment, and milestone accountability.

  • Implement consistent program management standards, reporting cadence, and executive dashboards aligned with enterprise governance expectations.

  • Surface interdependencies, capacity constraints, and risk mitigation plans to senior leadership and executive steering committees.

Value Realization and Continuous Improvement

  • Define measurable outcomes tied to AI enablement initiatives, including efficiency gains, cycle time reduction, enhanced insights, and improved employee experience.

  • Track, analyze, and report value realization against approved business cases and strategic objectives.

  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, performance analytics, and evolving best practices in change and transformation leadership.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 7 or more years of experience leading complex, cross-functional transformation programs in HR, digital, or enterprise environments.

  • Demonstrated experience designing and executing large-scale change strategies tied to technology or AI-enabled transformation.

  • Proven success establishing and governing a transformation portfolio, including prioritization frameworks, stage gates, risk management, and value realization tracking.

  • Experience driving adoption of new technologies and operating models across global, matrixed organizations.

  • Strong executive communication skills, including preparation of materials and presentations for executive leadership teams and steering committees.

  • Experience supervising project or program managers and establishing disciplined program management standards.

  • Ability to translate strategic objectives into sequenced, measurable roadmaps with clearly defined KPIs and value hypotheses.

  • Experience partnering with HR Centers of Excellence, HRIS, IT, Legal, and Finance in technology-enabled initiatives.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Business, Organizational Development, HR, or related field preferred.

Compensation:

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This role might also be eligible for a commission or performance-based bonus opportunities.  

$133,000.00 - $234,000.00
