Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

Global Procurement’s mission is to unleash Micron’s potential every single day by enabling outstanding total cost, supply, and resiliency! The Global Procurement Center of Excellence (GPCOE) serves as a vital driver of this mission. It keeps global procurement operating with rigor and excellence, while also sparking innovation and transformation.

The Principal, Strategy & Operations in the Global Procurement Excellence Hub acts as a strategic partner to the Senior Director. This role also serves as a force multiplier, enabling focus on the business's most critical priorities. This role blends strategy, operations, communications, and execution—translating vision into action, driving alignment across the stakeholders, and ensuring disciplined execution on organizational priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Execution - Partner with the Senior Director GPCOE and COE Leadership Team to set priorities, shape the operating plan, and keep work aligned to what matters most. Independently own a small set of key programs—driving clear plans, achievements, metrics, and results.

  • Operating Rhythm & Governance - Plan and facilitate leadership mechanisms (staff meetings, QBRs, reviews) and maintain rigorous follow-through on decisions and actions. Drive annual/quarterly planning and progress reporting (goals, KPIs, risks, and key decisions).

  • Stakeholder Alignment & Communication - Serve as the connective tissue across GP and GPCOE leadership—driving alignment, clarity, and timely decisions. Develop executive ready updates and presentations; prepare the Senior Director for key forums (talking points, Q&A, pre-briefs) and facilitate cross-functional work as needed.

  • Team & Culture Enablement - Reinforce expectations and operating norms across GPCOE to build a high-performing, engaged culture. Lead team engagement and internal communication—ensuring consistent messaging, connection, and follow-through.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in strategy, operations, consulting or program management roles.

  • Proven ability to operate in complex, matrixed, and fast-paced environments.

  • Experience working directly with senior executives and leadership teams.

  • Strong business sense with the ability to synthesize data into insight.

  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strategic problem solver with execution bias — sees the big picture and consistently gets results.

  • Exceptional, executive‑ready communicator — clear, concise, and effective in written and verbal communication.

  • Highly structured and organized — brings rigor, prioritization, and clarity.

  • Trusted and influential leader — exercises sound judgment, integrity, and aligns partners to drive outcomes.

  • Forward‑looking and comfortable with ambiguity — thrives in change and anticipates leadership and business needs.
