Overview:

This opening is for the Advanced Methods Development team within the Enterprise Engineering organization at Collins Aerospace India, for the position of Principal Engineer – Virtual Integration & Verification.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build complex simulation and emulation testbenches to model and validate the System Under Test (SUT) within a virtual environment.
  • Execute test scenarios, analyze results, and identify design or functional issues through virtual integration and verification.
  • Integrate systems and tools using standard APIs to enable seamless data exchange and model interoperability.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and C++ for automation and test orchestration.
  • Possess hands-on experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Processor-in-the-Loop (PIL) simulations.
  • Extensive experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and Cameo Systems Modeler, including model development, validation, and maintenance.
  • Over 8 years of experience in developing and maintaining models using MATLAB and Simulink for system design and analysis.
  • Experience in requirements and architecture modeling using SysML and Cameo.
  • Strong understanding of Digital Engineering solutions and their application in establishing end-to-end model-based workflows.
  • Have a strong understanding of test equipment and its virtualization

Optional / Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of DO-178C and DO-331 standards for model-based development and certification.
  • Familiarity with ARP4754A/B system development guidelines.
  • Experience with configuration management and model governance best practices.
  • Exposure to simulation environments or test automation frameworks.

    Qualifications we Prefer:

    • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electronics and Communication, or Instrumentation Engineering.
      Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Aerospace or Automotive system development and verification.
    • Good programming and logical thinking capabilities
    • Ability to work with engineering tools necessary for rapid prototype development
    • Good understanding of embedded systems and signal processing
    • Presentation and stakeholder management skills are essential
