[What the role is]
This role advances Singapore’s energy transition by leading the assessment, development and implementation of innovative solar deployments, including solar canopies, vertical installations, and emerging deployment types to maximise Singapore's solar potential beyond conventional installations.[What you will be working on]
Responsibilities:
Technology Assessment & Strategic Development
Develop strategies and frameworks for innovative structural solar deployments including solar canopies and vertical installations
Perform technological scanning and economic viability studies for emerging solar deployment scenarios
Assess emerging solar technologies and their applicability to Singapore's urban context
Support Singapore's energy transition by maximising solar deployment opportunities beyond conventional rooftop installations
Implementation & Partnership Management
Design bespoke regulatory frameworks for each deployment type and working with stakeholders to overcome the barriers
Manage multi-agency partnerships and coordinate with private sector technology providers
Oversee pilot projects for innovative solar technologies from conception to scaled deployment
[What we are looking for]
Requirements:
Education in Engineering or related disciplines
At least 5 years of relevant experience in renewable energy, structural engineering, or related technical fields
Strong understanding of solar PV technologies and energy systems
Experience in regulatory framework development or policy implementation
Relevant experience and proven track record in multi-stakeholder project management
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Stakeholder management and relationship building
Strategic thinking and planning
Ability to work in complex, multi-agency environments
Innovation mindset with practical implementation focus
