Introduction:

We are seeking highly skilled Digital Power and Motor control lead Engineer to lead the development of an advanced software development kit (SDK) tailored for digital power and motor control applications. The candidate will play a pivotal role in creating digital power and motor control solutions for MIPS high-performance real-time microcontroller targeted for EV/HEV, BMS applications.

Our Key Differentiators

Our RISC-V MCUs are designed with groundbreaking features:

Custom Instructions: Optimize math-intensive operations to accelerate motor control algorithms. MIPS Real-Time Hardware Multithreading: Enable faster and more efficient execution of motor control-related tasks by minimizing context-switching overhead.

Industry Trends

  • DSA (Domain-Specific Architectures) or as we call at MIPS, Application Processing Unit (APU)

  • In the era of increasing computational demands and specialized workloads, traditional approach of simply increasing the CPU processing speeds to get more performance is neither possible (Moore’s law slowing down or ending) nor feasible (higher power, area consumption).

  • APUs represent a transformative approach. Unlike traditional general-purpose architectures, APUs/DSAs are tailored to specific application domains, delivering:

  • High Efficiency: Optimized hardware accelerators and instruction sets.

  • Low Latency and Power Consumption: Perfect for precision timing and real-time responsiveness in motor control and digital power systems.
