What You Will Do
Being a member of the Project Core Team, you will lead a team of Functional Safety Engineers within the Project team.
Support team members to improve their technical skills.
Promote a positive working environment inside the team.
Represent the team inside the Project and proactively report to management;
Accountable for functional and technical safety concepts withinthe project
Support and execution of assigned quantitative and qualitative Safety Analysis (e.g. FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, HAZOP)
Moderation and participation in technical inspections.
Strong collaboration and cooperation with Safety Engineers, Safety Manager, Architects, Software-Hardware-System Leads and with the OEM
Support projects in the development of Functional Safety requirements (Technical Safety Requirements, Hardware Safety Requirements, Software Safety Requirements)
Elicit, document, and review functional safety requirements (ASIL) with the customer and engineering disciplines, ensuring alignment with architectural definitions.
Ensure process compliance within the development project
Support or develop and maintain the safety analysis in the project
Support the evaluation of customer change requests which have an impact on the functional safety compliance of the project
Consider and align Functional Safety needs with Cyber-Security solutions
Take the drive and leadership to continuously improve engineering workflows based on state-of-the-art tools for Safety & Cyber-Security in relation to the framework, including a scalable Safety mechanism portfolio
Ensure project compliance with ISO26262, demonstration of risks along the product development/product life cycle
What You Need
University degree in the Engineering field and certified Functional Safety Manager& ASPICE assessor
Extensive experience in Automotive Engineering and Development, as well as experience in Functional Safety implementation
Extensive knowledge of System, Hardware and Software
Experience inthe creation of safety concepts and analysis (FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, HARA)
Knowledge about the product development process
Experience in project and quality management
Profound knowledge in ISO 26262 and IEC 61508, Automotive SPICE/CMMI, including legal aspects
Experience in the creation of a project safety plan/Quality plan
Ability to work independently
Strong skills in communication, presentation and problem solving (customer and internal)
Flexible and autonomous working with global interfaces
English business fluent
What is Nice to Have
Electrical product design or engineering experience
Experience of failure analysis for an electrical product
Experience in pilot factory process & quality management
Experience in Product life cycle management: Development, Operation, Service or Maintenance
Proven experience in project management and resource management skills
Experience in system/hardware/software level product development
Proven experience in the development of products in compliance with the standard ASPICE
Hands-on experience in implementing ASIL-compliant systems in accordance with ISO26262
Experience with safety analysis (e.g., FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, HAZOP, DFA-CCFA)
Knowledge of FUSA qualification on software tools, components and evaluation of hardware components
Understand the requirements, architecture, design and methodologies in the field of of the automotive domain
