Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated Principal Category Lead, Real Estate to join our Global Procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the global procurement strategy and execution for real estate and facilities management footprints while managing high-value third-party supplier relationships.

As part of the global reorganization of procurement, our group is pivoting from region-based support to a global category focus, allowing us to leverage Iron Mountain’s full scale to drive innovation and efficiency.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and execute a global category strategy for Real Estate and Facilities Management to improve cost efficiency, operational performance, and supplier governance across the global footprint.
  • Collaborate with the Real Estate and Sustainability leadership teams and managed service providers to align procurement activities with business goals, ensuring a balance between cost management and high-quality service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) requirements by embedding sustainability, risk management, and rigorous Service Level Agreements (SLAs) into supplier contracts.

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 7+ years of experience in procurement, specifically focused on Real Estate, Facilities Management, and managed service provider models within a Fortune 500 environment.
  • Strong knowledge of the end-to-end Request for Proposal (RFP) process, market analysis, and the technical requirements of "Hard" Facilities Management services (such as mechanical, electrical, and fire life safety).
  • Proven ability in stakeholder management and executive presence, with the skill to use data-driven insights to influence global strategies and lead complex negotiations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; a post-graduate degree or professional certification in Supply Chain or Procurement (such as CPSM or MCIPS) is preferred.

Reasonably expected salary range: $142,100.00 - $189,400.00

Please note that an employee's starting salary may vary based on a variety of factors. Where State, Municipal, Provincial, Territorial or other legal minimum wages exceed the federal minimum wage, employees are entitled to the higher rate.
